Los Angeles’ official lists: 33 Best-Of decks and the full metagame
Riot has published the official recap of the Los Angeles Regional Qualifier, the last one of 2026, and it comes with 33 complete decklists plus attendance numbers for all 44 Legends brought to the event. After the September 18 bans Irelia is the most registered deck, with 193 players out of 1,962, but Kennen is still the one that clears the cut best: 63 of its 165 players reached Day 2, a 38.2% conversion. The trophy, however, went to DSG Prismaticism on Rengar, his second Regional Qualifier win.
First things firstFive words you need to read the numbers
Riot’s recap is dense with jargon. These are the terms that keep coming back — skip ahead to the table if you already know them.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Legend | The card that sits outside your deck and sets which colors the deck may use. In practice it is the deck’s name: “playing Irelia” means running Irelia as your Legend. |
| Champion | The main unit tied to that Legend, the one you actually put on the board during the game. |
| Day 2 | The second day, open only to players who won enough matches on day one. It is the cut. |
| Conversion | The share of players on a given Legend who make the cut. It tells you whether a deck really works, regardless of how many people bring it. |
| Best-Of | The prize for finishing highest in the standings with a given Legend. You are not racing the tournament, you are racing everyone who brought the same deck. |
The field1,962 players, 44 different Legends
Los Angeles registered 1,962 players on day 1 and sent 371 through to day 2. Forty-four Legends showed up, but the top of the field is tight: the four most played decks alone account for well over a third of the event.
The interesting part is the gap between how often a deck is brought and how well it travels. Irelia is the most registered deck and confirms the post-ban switch away from Kennen, yet it converts at 24.9%. Kennen had 28 fewer players and still put 15 more of them into day 2.
| Legend | Day 1 | % of field | Day 2 | Conversion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Irelia | 193 | 9.8% | 48 | 24.9% |
| Kennen | 165 | 8.4% | 63 | 38.2% |
| Jayce | 153 | 7.8% | 33 | 21.6% |
| LeBlanc | 149 | 7.6% | 38 | 25.5% |
| Rengar | 92 | 4.7% | 20 | 21.7% |
| Akali | 83 | 4.2% | 12 | 14.5% |
| Vex | 81 | 4.1% | 19 | 23.5% |
| Azir | 79 | 4.0% | 16 | 20.3% |
At the bottom of the table sit 13 Legends that did not send a single player to day 2, Shen, Renata Glasc, Vi and Renekton among them. Those numbers matter for what comes next.
The prizeYou can win a Best-Of from 567th place
This is where the official lists actually tell you something new. The Best-Of does not look at the podium, it looks at who did best with a given Legend. When barely anyone brings that Legend, the bar drops through the floor.
Cliffsunder, Renata Glasc
First among 24 Renata Glasc players, but 567th overall out of 1,962. He never made day 2 and took the Best-Of anyway.
DSG AwesumRosum, Kennen
To take Best-Of Kennen he had to beat 164 players on the same Legend and finish 13th overall. Same prize, nowhere near the same difficulty.
The pattern repeats down the list: Best-Of Shen went to Lunar, 549th overall and first of 24; Best-Of Mel to DSG Alanzq, 480th and first of just 7; Best-Of Renekton to TheKryptonian, 410th and first of 13. At the other end, the crowded Legends handed their Best-Of to genuine contenders: LeBlanc to MILL TwistedTCG (12th overall, out of 149 on that Legend), Ornn to MICE TheManLand (8th, out of 50), Azir to MICE Squirtle (3rd, out of 79).
The eventRengar takes it, Kennen vanishes from the Top 8
In the final, DSG Prismaticism’s Rengar beat Xeno’s Irelia, the most registered deck of the weekend. The Top 8 was two Irelia, two Azir, one Master Yi Wuju Bladesman, one Akali, one Ornn and one Rengar: no Kennen at all, despite it having the most players in day 2.
Riot’s own reading is that Kennen is still strong but arrives with a target on its back — players showed up with answers built specifically for it. It did not leave the format, it left the bracket.
Why it matters for us. The Best-Of rewards whoever places highest on a given Legend, not whoever wins the event: in Los Angeles, 567th place was enough for the Renata Glasc one. At a large tournament, picking an unpopular Legend can be worth more than sleeving the strongest deck in the room, and that logic travels with any Italian player heading to an international event. On top of that, the 33 official lists are free, card-by-card material to study before local tournaments — they are the last snapshot of the format before Radiance lands.
