Radiance lineup leak: Mordekaiser and Taric on the poster

On Monday night Riftbound posted the Radiance lineup poster on its X account with almost every name hidden behind a blur. A few hours later a photo of the same artwork turned up on r/riftboundtcg with nothing hidden: Heartsteel and K/DA at the top, and at the bottom two champions nobody had announced, Mordekaiser and Taric. Riot has not confirmed the readable version, which is still a leak.

The posterEleven entries across four lines

The artwork is laid out like a music festival bill: game logo on top, set logo underneath, then names on four lines of shrinking type, separated by small purple diamonds. In the version Riftbound published you can only read Heartsteel on the first line, Ekko and Seraphine on the second, Neeko at the end of the third. Below the closing diamond two more labels stay in the clear: colorless champion unit and new set mechanic.

The caption, relayed on Reddit by u/SoulArchdragon on Monday September 21, says the Radiance lineup has dropped but a few headliners are still under wraps, and asks players who will take the stage next. The comments turned into a guessing game, with reconstructions built by measuring how wide each blurred patch is.

The leakThe same image, shot off a screen

At 4:11 in the morning on Tuesday September 22, u/Ill_Ebb4276 opened a thread called Radiance Leaks with a single photo: a display shot at an angle, blown-out highlights, the same layout with no blurring. The thread has not a single comment and says nothing about where the picture was taken.

The checkEvery blur lines up

We put the two images side by side. The typeface is the same heavy all-caps serif, and the purple diamonds between names are identical. More to the point, the slots match: two entries on the first line, three on the second, four on the third, two on the fourth. Ekko and Seraphine fall exactly where the official poster leaves them readable, and so does Neeko at the end of the third line. On the fourth line the first blurred patch is roughly two and a half times longer than the second, which is the proportion between Mordekaiser and Taric.

The namesSeven known, two brand new

Seven of the nine entries are no surprise. On August 3 Riot introduced Seraphine, Ekko, Evelynn, Jarvan IV and Ziggs as set champions; on September 6, from the PAX West stage, Orianna was added; on September 18, live on the LCS broadcast, Neeko, Blending In arrived, a neutral champion unit numbered 167/167.

new

Mordekaiser

Never printed in Riftbound, in no set and no special collection.

new

Taric

Also missing from everything released so far. He closes the champion list.

One thing the poster does not say is what each name will be. Radiance ships nine Legends and nine champions are listed, but Neeko came out as a champion unit rather than a Legend, so the match is not automatic. K/DA, next to Heartsteel, is a League of Legends music group, not a card.

Why it matters here. Previews run from September 25 to October 9, then the Pre-Rift prerelease lands in Italian stores between October 16 and 22. Anyone deciding whether to reserve a booster display now has two weeks of reveals ahead: if Mordekaiser and Taric show up on the schedule, this poster is the map of what is left to see; if they do not, it is a reminder that a photo of a screen is not an announcement.

The caveatOne letter out of place

One detail is worth flagging: in the photo the third line reads Jarvin IV, with an i where the a should be. It could be an artefact of a shaky, overexposed shot, or a typo in the image itself. The champion Riot announced in August is Jarvan IV.

The short version

  • Riftbound posted the Radiance lineup poster on X with most names blurred; an unblurred photo of the same image surfaced on Reddit.
  • The leaked version reads: Heartsteel and K/DA, then Ekko, Seraphine, Orianna, Jarvan IV, Ziggs, Evelynn, Neeko, Mordekaiser and Taric.
  • Mordekaiser and Taric had never been announced and do not exist in any released set.
  • The official blurs match the photo in count and width, but Riot has confirmed nothing.
  • Previews start September 25; the set is out on October 23.
