The all-Neeko Radiance poster is a fan edit, not a reveal

Neeko, Blending In, the Radiance card behind the edited lineup poster

On Tuesday afternoon a thread called Radiance Poster Reveal. turned up on r/riftboundtcg, showing a lineup poster for Set 5 in which every single name reads Neeko. It is neither a preview nor a leak: it is an edit of the image that has been going around since Sunday. The joke does rest on something real, though — Neeko, Blending In, the only Radiance card Riot has actually put on screen. Official previews begin on September 25 in Los Angeles.

The threadTwelve Neekos across four lines

The picture keeps the music-festival layout Riot has adopted for Radiance: game logo on top, set logo underneath, then names spread over four lines of decreasing size, separated by a diamond. Except the names are gone. The first line pairs Heartsteel with a Neeko, the three lines below it are nothing but Neeko, and even the entry at the bottom that originally promised a colourless champion unit now ends with the same name. Count them and the name shows up twelve times; Heartsteel is the only label that survived the edit.

The thread was opened by u/Art3misGaming at 6.10pm Italian time, with a straight-faced comment mourning how weak the champion looks. Within minutes the replies had turned into the usual chant, and u/Josuke_Higashikata compressed the whole thing into one line: “itsallneekoalwayshasbeen.bmp”. Someone else pointed out the deliberately terrible photo quality, which is exactly the detail that makes genuine screen shots believable. Another reader read the bottom line, new set mechanic, as “new Sett mechanic”, and the chain of misreadings got one link longer.

The cardWhy the joke lands

Neeko was not picked at random. On September 18, during the LCS broadcast and exactly where Riot’s published schedule said it would be, Neeko, Blending In appeared: a neutral champion unit, 6 cost, 4 might, collector code RAD 167/167. Her text says that if Neeko is in your deck you choose three different legends on top of your starting legend, and that playing her moves one of those three into your Legend Zone for as long as she stays on the board.

Games Time Pavia — official sponsor

That makes her the first card to put more than one legend in the same list: through Vendetta the starting legend was a single card that defined the deck’s domains and identity. So a poster where every entry is Neeko is not a joke about her name but about her rules text, which does precisely that for a living. The community has spent the day calling her the champion who is all the other ones.

Confirmed

Neeko, Blending In

Shown live on the LCS broadcast on September 18, on the date listed in the preview schedule. Collector code RAD 167/167.

A photo of a screen posted on Reddit, never published by Riot. The all-Neeko version is an edit of that photo.

The checkWhat the official site actually shows

As we write, the card gallery on playriftbound.com lists five sets — Origins, Proving Grounds, Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta — and not one card carrying the RAD code. The preview-season article explains that the gallery refreshes every day at 5pm Pacific, which is 2am in Italy, with the previous day’s reveals: that archive is the record. The schedule opens on September 25 at the Los Angeles Regional Qualifier and runs through October 10.

Why it matters here. The flood starts on Thursday: dozens of creators and outlets across three continents will be posting new cards every day for two weeks, and edits like this one will travel alongside them. The only Italian name on the official schedule is Giorgia Falci, listed on October 1 and 2. Until then the dullest rule is the one that works: if a card is not in the official gallery the next morning, it is not a card yet.

The short version

  • The Radiance poster with Neeko on every line is an edit posted by u/Art3misGaming, not a Riot reveal.
  • The original image behind it is still an unconfirmed photo of a screen.
  • The only Radiance card Riot has really shown is Neeko, Blending In, RAD 167/167, on the LCS broadcast of September 18.
  • Official previews run September 25 to October 10; the card gallery updates nightly at 2am Italian time.
