Riftbound Showdown Series and Le Rift Tour: Organized Play Grows
The Riftbound Showdown Series and Le Rift Tour broaden Riftbound's Organized Play with fresh ways to compete and to earn a spot at high-level events.
A core belief behind Riftbound is that organized play should keep evolving. The energy and the appetite for competitive play that surfaced through the Regional Qualifiers made it clear just how much players want more chances to test themselves at the top level.
That is why two new competitive programs are arriving, designed to multiply the opportunities to play and to qualify:
- Riftbound Showdown Series — globally sanctioned third-party tournaments
- Le Rift Tour — a national circuit celebrating the French launch of Riftbound
The goal is to keep growing in new directions, so that Riftbound's Premier Play is as fun as players want it to be. If you want to get ready, take a look at our competitive meta Tier List and keep an eye on the community tournaments to practice ahead of the big events.
Global programRiftbound Showdown Series
The Riftbound Showdown Series brings officially sanctioned tournaments run by seasoned organizers around the world, giving players more chances to compete and to qualify for top-level play.
Regional Qualifiers are large-scale events with thousands of entrants. The Showdown Series instead aims at events of hundreds of players, available globally and able to provide one more path toward the official Regional Championships.
How it works
- Open tournaments, hosted by partner organizers
- Currently running across North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region
- Players can unlock even more chances to reach Premier Play tournaments based on the total number of entrants at their own Showdown Series event:
- The top finishers earn an invitation to a Regional Championship (some restrictions apply)
- They also receive a Competitor Pass for a future Regional Qualifier of their choice (some restrictions apply)
- Special Participation Promo cards and Standard Plated Legends are planned for the Best-Of finalists featuring the Legends of the three most recent Sets

National circuit · FranceLe Rift Tour
Today marks the debut of Origins in French, and with it comes Le Rift Tour, the first official Riftbound tournament circuit in France. It is a journey built to bring players together in local game stores (LGS) across the country, building all the way up to a live final at Paris Games Week.
This is a one-of-a-kind event honoring the French launch of Riftbound, a celebration of the communities and rivalries that make Riftbound so special, with competitive play in the Standard constructed format.
All across France, players will battle at their own LGS, alongside friends and their community, carrying their local scene all the way to Paris Games Week.
