How references work
After a Riftbound card trade, sale or purchase you leave a reference about the other person. It works for deals made in the Facebook group or in person too.
Three levels, always stated
- Via Riftbound Zone
- A sale we followed from start to finish. It is the strongest level.
- Verified
- Both people confirmed the same deal: one wrote it, the other confirmed it or wrote their own. Trades both marked as done on Riftbound Zone count too.
- Unconfirmed
- Written by one person and not (yet) confirmed by the other. We show it apart and it counts less.
Seller feedback left before references counts as unconfirmed, marked "From the old system".
The rules
- You need a Riftbound Zone account with Discord linked, both to write and to receive.
- New accounts can write references after 7 days.
- One reference per deal with the same person. No references to yourself.
- At most 3 references an hour and 5 a day.
- We look at many deals between the same two people in a short time; at most 2 references a year per pair count toward the score.
- A negative reference that is not confirmed stays private until we have looked at it.
If a reference is wrong
Whoever receives a reference gets a notice in the app and on Discord: they can confirm it or dispute it, saying why. We decide disputes: we can keep the reference or remove it. Anyone with an account can report a fake or offensive reference.
The trader card
- Trusted: at least 3 verified references and a score of 5 (sales via Riftbound Zone count 1.5, verified 1, earlier feedback 0.5, unconfirmed 0.25), at least 90% positive and no complaints in the last year.
- Complaints: negative references that stand after the checks, confirmed by both or reviewed by us.
- Every trader has a page to share in posts: riftbound.zone/r/ followed by their username.
Trading in the Facebook group?
After a deal in the Marketplace group, leave a reference on Riftbound Zone: it stays even if the post disappears, and the trader card can be pasted in the comments.
