Riftbound ban list: all banned cards in Standard and 2v2

This is the complete Riftbound ban list, always up to date: every card, battlefield and Legend banned from sanctioned tournaments, for both Standard Constructed and 2v2 Constructed. We update it with every official Riot announcement — bookmark it.

🔄
Checked on 14 October 2026: no new bans with Radiance. The Radiance core rules (in effect from 16 October) and the October tournament rules don't change the list. The latest update is from 15 September 2026: The latest bans (Ekko, Recurrent and Stacked Deck) apply to Standard and 2v2 and take effect on 18 September 2026 — full details in the September ban announcement. On the Stacked Deck call there is also the outright-ban versus restricted-list debate.

The team format2v2 Constructed ban list

Since July 24, 2026 the 2v2 format has a dedicated ban list: it includes the entire Standard list above plus the cards banned only in the team format. For now there is a single addition, a Legend:

Note: Master Yi, Wuju Bladesman remains fully legal in 1v1. The ban only covers 2v2, where the defensive bonus extended to your ally made it dominant among top teams.

How it worksHow Riftbound bans work

Riot weighs every ban against three questions: is the card overrepresented in an unhealthy way? Will its problems get worse over time? Does it promote unhealthy play patterns? A ban can also be structural — like the battlefields removed in July to reduce the first player's edge and shorten tournament rounds.

Bans apply to all sanctioned tournaments (in-store events, Nexus Nights, Regional Qualifiers) and to Zone tournaments. Every announcement states its effective date, usually about a week later. Full rules, a mechanics glossary and every patch note live in our Riftbound rules hub. If one of your deck's cards lands on the list, update it in the Deck Builder and keep an eye on the meta tier list.
