A leaked poster shows all five Radiance K/DA alt arts
A photo posted this morning on r/riftboundtcg shows a French-language Riftbound promo poster carrying all five Radiance K/DA illustrations side by side: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai'Sa and Seraphine. Three of those illustrations have already surfaced on Reddit as actual cards over the past two weeks, numbered SP3, SP4 and SP5 out of five. The poster closes the circle and tells us which two are still missing. Riot has confirmed nothing: the source is a single photo, posted by u/Arkalex on October 1.
The photoA French poster, sitting in a cardboard box
The picture is taken from above: the poster lies inside a cardboard box, the way stores receive promotional material alongside their product shipments. At the top you can read the Riftbound — League of Legends logo and the French line «jeu de cartes à collectionner», meaning trading card game; the K/DA logo sits in the middle.
The poster is split into five wedges. Akali is top left, Ahri top right, Kai'Sa bottom left, Evelynn bottom right, and Seraphine takes the centre, larger than the rest. These are the K/DA ALL OUT versions of the five champions, the same ones League of Legends players already know.
The cardsThree are out, two are not
That is where the news is. Over the past fortnight three cards with these exact illustrations have gone around on Reddit, and all three carried a collector number ending in /005: Evelynn is SP3/005, Kai'Sa is SP4/005, Seraphine is SP5/005. A number out of five means the series is five cards, no more. Numbers 1 and 2 are missing, and the poster shows exactly two champions nobody has seen in this treatment yet: Ahri and Akali.
Worth noting that the numbering follows alphabetical order — Evelynn third, Kai'Sa fourth, Seraphine fifth — so the simplest guess is that Ahri is SP1 and Akali SP2. That is our deduction, not something read off a card: neither of those two cards has been seen.
| Champion | Number | Card seen yet? |
|---|---|---|
| Ahri | SP1/005 (presumed) | No, only the poster art |
| Akali | SP2/005 (presumed) | No, only the poster art |
| Evelynn, In Control | SP3/005 | Yes, on Reddit on September 30 |
| Kai'Sa, Rebel | SP4/005 | Yes, Chinese print, September 29 |
| Seraphine, Not Alone | SP5/005 | Yes, on Reddit on September 28 |
JargonSP, ON and alt art: what is the difference
They are three different ways of printing the same card with a different illustration, and in a booster pack they all compete for the same slot. Riot listed them in the official Radiance overview published on September 25.
Special Alt
A themed special card with its own numbering (here SP1-SP5 out of five). In Vendetta these were the Crystal Rose cards; in Radiance, if the poster is right, they are the K/DA. Riot says they show up at roughly the same rate as regular alt arts.
Overnumber
A card numbered past the set total (for Radiance, past 167): full-bleed art and an artist signature. In Radiance these are the nine new Legends and the Heartsteel boys.
Every Radiance booster has one slot that can be a Rare, an Epic, an alt art, a Special Alt, an Overnumber or the Ultimate Rare: that is where these K/DA cards come from, competing with everything else. Riot has not published the exact pull rate for the series.
CautionWhy this is still a leak
In the September 25 overview Riot said in plain words that Radiance's Special cards would be shown «once we're a bit further along» in preview season: today they are not on the official site. Under the Reddit post one user asked where the photo came from and got no answer. So: a credible image, consistent with three cards already in circulation, but unconfirmed for now. The next official overview update is set for October 5 at 10:00 AM Pacific.
Why it matters here. Radiance releases on October 23 in English, French and Chinese: in Italy we open English packs, and a French poster already sitting in a shipping box says European promo material is on its way to stores. If the K/DA really are five Special Alts, anyone cracking a display here already knows which cards to hunt — and which two, Ahri and Akali, nobody has laid eyes on yet.
The short version
- A photo on r/riftboundtcg shows a French poster with the five Radiance K/DA illustrations: Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, Kai'Sa, Seraphine.
- Three have already circulated as cards, numbered SP3, SP4 and SP5 out of five: numbers 1 and 2 are still open, and should be Ahri and Akali.
- Riot has not confirmed it: the official overview said Special cards would come later in preview season, and the next update lands on October 5.
