The Seal of Focus card, up 65% in eight days after the Ornn deck won RQ Barcelona

After Barcelona the market bought Ornn, not Kennen

The tournament said one thing, the market did another. Kennen was 13.5% of the field at RQ Barcelona and put three of the top five finishers on the board: its cards have not moved a cent. What moved is the deck that won — MICE TheManLand’s Ornn, 42 pilots in the entire event. Seal of Focus, three copies in that list, went from €9.49 to €15.66 in eight days: +65%.

Data from our index, daily snapshots of the Cardmarket trend. Window: August 22 → 30, 2026 (the event was played on the 22nd and 23rd). Free to cite with a link.

The deck that won

42 pilots, +65%

Seal of Focus from €9.49 to €15.66, the Ornn Showcase +22%, Sterak’s Gage +35%. And a third of the Ornn, Blacksmith listings gone.

The most played deck

270 pilots, nothing

Kennen sits at five cents with 3,516 copies listed, its Champion fell from €6.37 to €5.08. A fresh set does not appreciate while packs are still being opened.

The numbersWhat moved, and by how much

Ornn, Blacksmith (the champion)€1.66€1.67flat579 → 400 (−31%)

That last row is the interesting one. Ornn, Blacksmith’s price has not moved, but a third of the European supply disappeared in eight days: somebody is buying the listed copies while sellers have yet to raise. That is the kind of move that usually precedes the price rather than following it.

The signalThe Radar turned up on the 25th

This is not hindsight: our Radar stores its call every day. On Seal of Focus the signal read “flat” all through tournament week and switched to “up” on August 25, with the card at €11.12: it has gained another 41% since. Same on Ornn, Blacksmith (up from the 25th) and on the Ornn Showcase, up as early as the 21st.

In today’s signal ranking, three of the four top risers are cards from the deck that won Barcelona: Ornn Blacksmith first, Seal of Focus second, the Ornn Showcase fourth.

Games Time Pavia — official sponsor

What this does and does not mean. Seal of Focus is not an “Ornn card”: it is a generic staple that fits many lists, which is part of why the rise is this sharp — demand arrives from several decks at once. And an “up” signal is not a promise: the Radar backtest reads 78% correct direction at 14 days, not 100%.

The flip sideKennen flat, Vendetta still deflating

On the other side, the tournament’s most played Legend produced nothing. Kennen, Heart of the Tempest sits at five cents with 3,516 copies listed; its Champion fell from €6.37 to €5.08 in ten days. And Nasus, Vendetta’s second most played Legend with 103 pilots, went from €1.62 to €0.41 over the same stretch.

It is not a contradiction, it is the cycle of a fresh set. Vendetta has been legal since July 31, packs are being opened at full speed and supply is outgrowing demand. The cards that climb are from the older sets, where supply no longer regenerates and one big result is enough to drain what is left: Seal of Focus is from Origins, the first set, and the Ornn Showcase from Spiritforged.

NextWhat to watch through Sunday

The next move comes from the Singapore Regional Qualifier, September 4-6: if Ornn confirms, the remaining Ornn, Blacksmith copies will run out and the price will have to follow; if instead the field shows up ready for Kennen and something else wins, this week’s rise deflates quickly. Prices update daily on Riftbound card prices, the metagame after every Regional on Meta statistics.

  • The winning deck gained, not the most played one: +65% Seal of Focus, +22% the Ornn Showcase.
  • Ornn, Blacksmith: price flat, supply −31%. The move is there; listings have not caught up.
  • The Radar turned up on August 25, ahead of the bulk of the rise.
  • Vendetta cards keep falling: new set, growing supply. Nasus −75% in ten days.
