Radiance drawing: the emails go out today, 24 hours to pay
Starting today, October 5, at 9:00 AM PT, Riot begins emailing the players drawn for the chance to buy Radiance products on the Riot Merch Store. Whoever gets the link has 24 hours to finish the purchase — after that the slot goes to someone else. On the table: the Radiance Booster Display at €127.99 and the Evelynn vs. Seraphine Showdown Decks at €36.99, shipping and handling on top.
How it worksWhat the drawing actually is
Riot does not sell these products first-come, first-served. It runs a raffle instead: you put your name in during a five-day window, then random selection decides who gets to buy. Radiance sign-ups opened on September 25 and closed on September 30, so there is no way in now — only the wait for an email.
Today is the first round. Riot says the selection is entirely random and goes through several layers of checks to confirm the account belongs to a real person rather than a bot. More importantly: if someone who is drawn decides not to buy, or lets their 24 hours run out, a new name is drawn and notified in turn. So if nothing lands in your inbox tonight, it is not over yet.
| Drawing | The raffle Riot uses to decide who may buy. It is not a giveaway: if you are drawn, you still pay full price. |
|---|---|
| Booster Display | The 24-pack carton — what most shops simply call a box. |
| Showdown Deck | A boxed pair of ready-built decks, made so two people can sit down and play without building anything. |
| Showcase | A version of a card with full-card artwork, rarer than the standard print. |
The productsWhat is on offer
Radiance Booster Display
24 packs of 14 cards, drawn from a pool of 180 different cards including 66 Showcase cards. The more sought-after of the two by a distance.
Evelynn vs. Seraphine Showdown Decks
Two 56-card preconstructed decks, two paper playmats and a rulebook. Open it and you have a two-player game ready.
These are the official prices Riot published on September 25, shipping and handling excluded. The fact that they are quoted in euros alongside $119.99 and $34.99 tells you the store serves Europe too. Once payment clears, Riot expects to fulfil orders within 1–3 business days — that is processing, packing and shipping, not a delivery date.
Do this nowThree checks before tonight
Riot’s advice is mundane but it matters, because the 24 hours start when the email is sent, not when you read it. First, make sure messages from riotgames.com are not being filtered into spam or trash. Second, check you can still sign in to your Riot account; if you cannot, there is the account recovery platform or a support ticket, but you want to find that out now rather than at hour 23. Third, keep your phone within reach — a notification missed in the evening can cost you the whole window.
Why it matters for us. Radiance launches worldwide on October 23, and in Italy the boxes will clear the shelves the way Origins did. For a lot of players the Riot store, priced in euros and with no retailer markup, is the only realistic way to get a display at list price instead of the inflated one on the secondary market. Anyone who signed up between September 25 and 30 should be watching their inbox tonight: 24 hours go quickly, and here the gap between €127.99 and a reseller’s price runs into the hundreds.
