Gift of the Rift: Riftbound’s Year One bundle lands December 4 with 16 packs and an alt-art Akali

Riftbound is celebrating its first birthday with a commemorative box: the Gift of the Rift Bundle, announced by Riot on August 3 in the official 2027 products article, packs boosters from all five 2026 sets, 36 foil runes, an exclusive alt-art Akali promo and themed accessories. It releases on December 4, 2026 and, unlike event-exclusive products, it will hit regular distribution: local game stores and mass retailers.

Pricing has not been announced yet: we will update this article as soon as Riot confirms it.

The contentsWhat’s in the box

The bundle reads like a recap of the game’s first year: it spans from Origins, the debut set, all the way to Radiance, the set closing out 2026. Here are the full official contents:

Radiance is the only set represented with 4 packs instead of 3: it releases on October 23 and will be the freshest set to crack when the bundle launches. For a refresher on what the fifth set brings — and what comes next — check our article on Radiance and the 2027 sets.

The promoAkali “Rogue Assassin”, the bundle’s exclusive card

The collector’s centerpiece is the alt-art Akali Legend, numbered VEN 139a/166 P: a promo version of the Vendetta Akali with brand-new artwork (illustrated by Luscinia Studio and Allen Song), showing her devouring a bowl of noodles in the snow. The text matches the expansion card: with Empower 1, an action lets her move a friendly unit in a showdown back to base — and ready it if Akali is Empowered. The 100 included sleeves carry the same artwork.

One detail collectors should note: the bundle comes in two languages, English and Chinese, and the two versions are not identical. The Akali is the English exclusive, while the Chinese version swaps it for a dedicated alt-art Kennen promo — whose artwork the announcement doesn’t show yet. It’s the same strategy already seen with the Secret Garden gift box: parallel products with different exclusives for the two markets.

Release and distributionWhere to buy it (and how much it will cost)

The Gift of the Rift Bundle releases on December 4, 2026, “just in time for the holidays” as Riot puts it. Distribution is the best news: no queues or event exclusives like the Secret Garden (sold only at Gen Con and a handful of selected events), but regular availability at local game stores and mass retailers. As for the price, there is no official figure yet: for reference, the Secret Garden — which only includes 3 boosters — sells for $70.
