Riftbound unveils 2027: Radiance in October, then Legacy, The Reckoning and Bandle City
Riot has laid its cards on the table: with the «Products and Sets into 2027» announcement we now know names, dates and contents for every set through mid-2027 — plus teasers for the two after that. It starts October 23 with Radiance and its new Ultimate rarity, continues January 29 with Legacy (which even reshuffles what's inside a booster) and April 30 with The Reckoning; along the way come the holiday Gift of the Rift Bundle and Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition. Here's everything worth marking in the calendar.

RadianceOwn the stage: the new Ultimate rarity
The fifth set — tagline «Own the Stage. The World is Watching» — brings Runeterra's pop side to the Rift: the nine new Legends announced so far include Seraphine, Evelynn, Ekko, Ziggs and Jarvan IV (four remain unrevealed). Boosters debut a new Ultimate-rarity card still under wraps — the tier above everything seen so far. Products follow Vendetta's formula: boosters and displays, Seraphine vs Evelynn Showdown Decks for 2v2, a Vault Bundle and Pre-Rift kits. Previews start in late September, the Pre-Rift runs October 16-22 and the global launch (English, Chinese and French together) lands October 23. After the questions around Vendetta's print run, it will also be the first test of the ramped-up production.
LegacyThe monster set that changes boosters
January 29 brings the most ambitious project yet: 346 cards inspired by classic League of Legends, organised by region — Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Piltover/Zaun, Freljord and Bilgewater — with 13 new Legends including Ashe, Garen, Heimerdinger, Illaoi, Karma, Lux, Tryndamere and Vladimir. The real headline is structural, though: booster contents change. One common makes way for a dedicated slot that's a 50/50 split between a Legend and a Battlefield (commons drop from 7 to 6), the set is built for draft with dedicated signpost cards, and the new templating debuts: target indicators, arrows for triggered abilities, the «Create» verb for tokens and «When I enter» phrasing — the same standard previewed by July's errata. February follows with Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition (Feb 19, $40): four ready-to-play decks around Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir and Illaoi, oversized battlefields and a rulebook — the perfect entry point, with no exclusive cards.
The Reckoning and beyondGiants, yordles and shadows
On April 30, 2027, The Reckoning — «Awaken the Ancients» — unleashes League's most massive creatures: the nine announced Legends include Aurelion Sol, Cho'Gath, Shyvana, Vayne and Zilean, with Champion Decks for Shyvana and Vayne. The route beyond is set too: Set 8 (Q3 2027) takes the game to Bandle City and its mischievous yordle magic, while for Set 9 (Q4 2027) Riot left only concept art and wordplay that smells strongly of the Shadow Isles. Under the tree, meanwhile, the Gift of the Rift Bundle (December 4, mass retail included): 16 boosters across the first five sets, 36 foil runes, an Akali alt art promo, 100 sleeves and a 2,000-card storage box.
