Riftbound Showdown Series Budapest: Tickets, Prices and Prizes
Riftbound Showdown Series comes to Budapest on November 28-29, 2026: tickets on sale October 28 at 4 PM CET, pass prices, prizes and Regional Championship invites.
The Budapest Showdown Series (November 28-29, World Mall) has sold more than 400 tickets, unlocking the milestone that pushes the prize pool to 70+ booster displays. Organiser Delta1 also outlined the side events: three scheduled tournaments on Sunday in Standard, 2v2 and Sealed, each awarding a Lunar Revel Bundle to the winner. Meanwhile the official Riftbound Organized Play calendar now lists the correct date, November 28.

As we covered when tickets went on sale, Budapest's prizes scale with attendance. By October 30 the first two thresholds, 128 and 256 players, were already unlocked. On November 4 Delta1 posted on Reddit (u/Delta1Cafe) that it had passed 400, and the event page now shows that step as unlocked too: more than 70 sealed displays to hand out as prizes.
One rung is left: 512 players would lift the event to Tier I, with four Regional Championship invites (a guaranteed seat at the continental event, the Stuttgart-sized one) and sixteen Competitor Passes, which are paid entries to a Regional Qualifier of your choice. The organiser isn't shy about it: "we are aiming for Tier 1".
| Players | Unlocks | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 128 | Tier III · 1 RC invite, 4 Competitor Passes | unlocked |
| 256 | Tier II · 2 RC invites, 8 Competitor Passes | unlocked |
| 400 | Prize pool of 70+ displays | just unlocked |
| 512+ | Tier I · 4 RC invites, 16 Competitor Passes | not yet |
Side events are the open tournaments running alongside the main event. Budapest will run them in two different ways.
Space is tight on day one. On-demand events, which fire as soon as a pod fills, start around 3-4 PM once the main event frees up tables. Prizes are sealed product.
Standard constructed, 2v2 team play and Sealed, where you build from packs opened on site. Each winner takes home a Lunar Revel Bundle.
Exact start times aren't out yet: Delta1 says the full schedule will follow closer to the event. Side event sign-ups happen at the venue, at the same time you check in for the main event. The Premium Pass includes two side event vouchers, the on-site Visitor Pass one.
Cardmarket is partnering with the event and, according to the organiser, helping grow the prize pool. Vendors will bring sealed product, singles and accessories: Metagame and Cardverse are already listed on the event page, and Elysium was announced in the Reddit post. Danubius Hotels remains the hotel partner, with the discount link arriving in your ticket confirmation email.
On October 30 we flagged that the Showdown Series calendar on Riftbound Organized Play listed November 21, a week before the weekend Delta1 was selling (our story). The official table now reads November 28: both sources agree and the question is settled.
Why it matters for Italian players. Budapest is the last European Showdown Series stop of 2026 and under two hours' flight from many Italian airports. With 400 players already in, the trip is worth more: two Regional Championship invites are locked in, and four if attendance hits 512. Sunday's side events also give players who drop early from the main event a reason to stay.
