Stuttgart: $10,000 for the winner, cash down to 64th place
Riftbound Organized Play has published the main event schedule for Regional Championship Europe, running at Messe Stuttgart from November 6 to 8, and with it the prize split that had never been shown before. The winner takes $10,000 plus a Champion Card and a Champion Playmat, money goes all the way down to 64th place, and every line adds up to exactly the $50,000 announced for the event. It is a long tournament: twelve rounds of Swiss across Friday and Saturday, Top 8 on Sunday.
The scheduleThree days, twelve rounds and a Top 8
The main event is for qualified players only and starts on Friday, November 6 at 10:00 with six rounds of Swiss: nobody is knocked out, and each round pairs you with someone on your own score. Matches are best of three with a 60-minute clock and three extra turns once time runs out, so a game never gets cut off halfway.
Saturday belongs to whoever survives the Friday cut: six more rounds in the same format, starting at 9:00. Sunday leaves eight players standing for single elimination over three rounds — quarterfinals, semifinals, final — with no time limit, and the higher seed chooses whether to play first or second. All times are local to Stuttgart.
| Day | Start | Format | Rounds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Friday 6 | 10:00 | Day 1, Swiss, Bo3 | 6 |
| Saturday 7 | 9:00 | Day 2, Swiss, Bo3 | 6 |
| Sunday 8 | 9:00 | Top 8, single elimination | 3 |
The moneyHow the $50,000 is split
This is the first time the full table has been public: until now we only knew the size of the pot, not who gets what. The gap between first and second is the steep one, but the tail is long — players finishing between 33rd and 64th still go home with something, which covers a good chunk of the Day 2 field.
| Finish | Prize |
|---|---|
| 1st | $10,000 + Champion Card + Champion Playmat |
| 2nd | $5,000 |
| 3rd-4th | $2,500 |
| 5th-8th | $1,500 |
| 9th-16th | $1,000 |
| 17th-32nd | $500 |
| 33rd-64th | $250 |
The cardsPlated Legends on top of the cheques
The card prizes announced in mid-October are still in place. The highest finisher on each Legend from Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance receives the matching Foil Plated Legend, the metal version of that Legend. The top 58 finishers instead draft their Overnumbered Foil Plated Legend in finishing order, starting with the champion: we covered that change, here, together with the switch to open decklists.
Why it matters here. For Italian players holding an invite the schedule says two practical things. First, Stuttgart takes three full days: play starts at 10:00 on Friday and at 9:00 on both Saturday and Sunday. Second, every Day 2 match also scores points for your country in Nation Clash, so making the cut means playing for Italy without signing up for anything extra. Anyone travelling without an invite still has a hall full of side events — the open tournaments next to the main event — with tickets on sale from October 30.
In short
- Main event November 6-8 at Messe Stuttgart: six Swiss rounds Friday, six Saturday, Top 8 Sunday.
- $10,000, a Champion Card and a Champion Playmat for the winner; cash down to 64th place, $50,000 in total.
- Foil Plated Legends from Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance go to the best finisher on each Legend, and the top 58 draft the Overnumbered versions.
