“Yi — Tempered”: Master Yi Becomes a PHANTACi Card
This afternoon Riftbound’s official Chinese channel on Bilibili, 符文战场 (the name the game carries in China), posted a video titled “PHANTACI × 符文战场: the collaboration is about to open”. The description unveils a card born from that partnership, “Yi — Tempered”, drawn in the style of Chinese ink painting. There is not a single number attached to it: no cost, no rules text, no date. The find comes from r/riftboundtcg, and Riot has said nothing on its European or American channels.
The factsOne video, one illustration, zero data
The video went up on October 11 at 15:05 Beijing time (09:05 in Italy) on the Bilibili channel Riot runs for the Chinese market — the same one that in recent days produced the artist-signed Seraphine and the first Radiance cards seen in China. The title announces the opening of a PHANTACi collaboration; the description, translated by user u/EDG_Clearlove7, speaks of “Eastern imagination woven into melody” and signs off by saying that “the collaborative card ‘Yi — Tempered’ is officially unveiled”.
Pay attention to what is actually visible, because it matters: the image doing the rounds is a screenshot of the video, not of the card. You see the full-bleed artwork — a swordsman in mid-air, black hair spreading like spilled ink, a blade wrapped in red curls, petals hanging in a grey-pink haze — but you do not see the card frame. That is why you will find no cost, Might, domain or rarity below: none of it has been published. Anyone quoting those numbers is making them up.
What we know
The video sits on the official Chinese channel, the card is called “Yi — Tempered”, the artwork is ink-wash, and the PHANTACi collaboration is billed as imminent.
What we don’t
Cost, text, collector number, rarity, release date, how you get hold of it, and whether it stays in China. The video does not say, and Riot has published nothing else.
The partnerPHANTACi, Jay Chou’s label
PHANTACi is not an illustration studio: it is a streetwear label founded in Taipei in 2006 by singer Jay Chou — the biggest star in Mandopop — together with his friend Ric Chiang. Over the years it has put its name on collections with Nike, Puma, New Balance and, in 2025, Paris Saint-Germain. It is the kind of partner you pick in China to get the game talked about outside the circle of people already playing it, and it explains why the announcement arrived as a mood piece rather than a rules page.

The contextThe third Chinese card in two weeks
The Reddit thread calls it “another Chinese exclusive card”, and the arithmetic holds up: in two weeks China has been first to show four Radiance cards, then the signed Seraphine Overnumber, now this. None of those products has ever been announced for Europe. That “Yi — Tempered” will stay exclusive, though, is for now a conclusion players have drawn and not a sentence from Riot: until a statement lands, take it for what it is.

Why this matters to us. Because it marks a gap that is felt keenly in Italy: while we wait for Radiance to land on October 23, the Chinese market is getting collector cards that never reach us, and the people who want them end up on import channels at prices that have nothing to do with what the card does in a game. Worth remembering, too, that cards like these are not legal at official European events unless they ship in a supported language and product: before you spend, wait until we actually know what “Yi — Tempered” is.
In short
- Riftbound’s official Chinese channel has announced a collaboration with PHANTACi, Jay Chou’s label, and a card titled “Yi — Tempered”.
- Only the ink-wash artwork is visible: no cost, text, collector number or release date has been published.
- It is the third card shown in China first in two weeks; Riot’s western channels have not mentioned it.
