Evelynn's Showdown Deck: the full list
Alongside Seraphine's, Riot has published the list for the other Radiance Showdown Deck. Evelynn's is led by the Agony's Embrace Legend, runs 40 cards across main deck and champions, and uses six Body Runes and six Chaos Runes. It has one very clear idea: play your cards from face down, then flip them when it hurts most. It arrives on October 23, in the same box as Seraphine's deck.
The LegendOne card from face down, one card drawn
Agony's Embrace is card RAD 153/167 and runs Body and Chaos. The text: once each turn, when you play a card from face down, draw 1; then, if it's not your turn, discard 1.
That second half isn't arbitrary punishment: it pushes you to use your face-down cards on your own turn, when the draw stays clean, and to save for the opponent's turn only the answers genuinely worth the discard.
| [Hidden] | You can place the card face down at a battlefield by paying a rune. Later you play it for free, even on your opponent's turn. |
| Face down | The card sits on the table turned over: your opponent knows something is there, not what. |
| [Reaction] | Playable at any time, even before another card resolves. |
| [Ganking] | The unit can move from one battlefield to another. |
| Gold token | A piece you sacrifice for an extra rune: the deck's fuel. |
The engineSeven cards play from face down
This deck doesn't hope to have face-down cards: it is guaranteed them. Gutter Guardian, Demon Shade, Elnuk Herd, The Waters' Wage, Momentary Companion, Pakaa Cub and the champion Evelynn, Entrancing all carry [Hidden]. On top of that, Bushwhack Trap (1 energy) lets you hide an extra card at a battlefield you control.
Then come the three cards that turn that gesture into an advantage:
- Evelynn, Consuming (RAD 090/167, 5/5): when you play a card from face down, she readies and gains +1 Might. With [Ambush] she can drop in on the opponent's turn too.
- Evelynn, In Control (RAD 109/167, 4/4): when she holds, if you control a face-down card there, you score a point. This is the card that wins games, not the one that manages them.
- Black Market Broker (3/3): every time you play a card from face down, a Gold token shows up.
The Waters' Wage is the slyest card in the list: it costs 1 and makes a Gold token, but played from face down on your own turn it makes three, and ready. Add Reckless Innovator, which produces another Gold when it becomes exhausted, and the deck slips from six runes to nine without you noticing.

The controlMoving everyone else's units
Where Seraphine's deck fills the board, this one empties and rearranges it. Wind and Ghosts (from Vendetta) banishes a unit with 3 Might or less and bounces anything bigger; Siren's Song moves an enemy unit that already moved this turn; Pitiless Stalker exhausts to [Stun] a unit, which then deals no damage that turn; Siren of the Shallows carries [Disarm] and [Ganking] and goes wherever it's needed.
At the top of the curve sit Wrath of the Freljord (9 energy, 7 Might, enters ready with [Shield 3]) and K'Sante, Courageous, who channels a rune when he holds. Among the two copies of Elnuk Herd is the card that picked up an errata earlier this month: we covered it here, and the corrected version is the one in the box.
How it splits
36 main deck cards plus 4 champion cards: 1 Consuming, 1 In Control and 2 Entrancing.
Not all Radiance
Evelynn Entrancing comes from Unleashed, Pakaa Cub from Origins, Wind and Ghosts from Vendetta, Black Market Broker from Spiritforged.
Our takeWhere the preconstructed shows
Six cards are single copies, and two of those are exactly the pieces the deck always wants: Bushwhack Trap, the cheapest way to get a second face-down card in the same place, and Last Caress, which lets you drop the hidden unit where it hurts rather than where it was buried. If we had two cards to spend improving the list, we'd take both to two copies. That's our read, not Riot's advice.
Why it matters to us. The two Showdown Decks come in one box at the price of one product: for anyone in Italy who wants to try Radiance without opening boosters, this is the most direct route, and the fairest way to learn the game with a friend. The two decks are built to be played against each other, and the lists show it: one fills the board with bodies, the other moves them and takes them away.
