Leaked K/DA «Volume 001» box: the five cards and what doesn’t add up
Overnight between October 6 and 7, r/riftboundtcg got photos of a product Riot has never announced: a Riftbound — League of Legends · K/DA · «Volume 001» · 2026 box, holding an illustrated booklet and five cards: the Legends of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa with new artwork, plus the Packed Amphitheater battlefield. Last night I wrote up what the first photo showed; then shots of every page came out, so I rewrote the article from scratch. Riot has confirmed nothing: no price, no date, no way to buy it.
Certain
- The box: red front with Ahri, «VOLUME 001», «2026», the K/DA logo and the four names.
- Five cards, four Legends and one battlefield, each on its own page of the booklet.
- The Ahri card is numbered «KDA · 001/005» and credited to Fortiche Production, the studio behind Arcane.
- The card text matches the regular versions: only the artwork changes.
Unknown
- Whether it is an official Riot product, a prototype or a very well-made fake.
- Price, release date, countries and how to buy it.
- Who illustrated the other four cards.
- What else is in the box besides the booklet.
The photosWhere they come from: a shop’s livestream and a brand-new account
The first photo was posted by u/MDings at 01:22 Italian time on October 7, credited to the X account @averagetcgdad. It is four shots side by side, the ones at the top of this page: the front of the box, the black box with the Riftbound and K/DA logos, the Kai’Sa page and the Packed Amphitheater page. In the background you can read a TV screen saying «MAKE ME LAUGH TO GET 25 FREE PACKS OF WHATEVER YOU WANT!», plus Pokémon boxes and a Pikachu playmat: it is a shop counter during a livestream.
I checked the account that spread it: it was created on September 8, 2026, has 7 followers and about forty posts. On Reddit, u/RorzaSpirit9 traced the shots back to the TikTok live of a California card shop; another user says the woman on stream stopped showing the box and ended the live once she was flooded with questions. I could not see that stream myself: I am reporting what they wrote.
At 02:10 u/omahr posted four more photos, much sharper: the open pages for Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa, the ones you will find below. Even he does not know where they come from: «I don’t get how people already have this».
What it isAn art book with one card per page
It looks more like an art book than a box of cards. Outside there is a red sleeve with Ahri, inside a black box with the Riftbound and K/DA logos. Each champion gets a two-page spread: the large illustration on one side, and on the other her name in a fashion-magazine typeface, a short first-person note from the artist and the card, set into a die-cut window and sealed in a clear sleeve. «Volume 001» suggests a series, the first of more boxes: that is my own guess, nothing else is written on the box.
The cardsFive cards that already exist, with new artwork
None of the five is a new card: they are four Legends that are already out or on the way, plus a Radiance battlefield, with different illustrations. The printed text, as far as the photos show, is identical to the regular versions.
Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox

This is Ahri’s Origins Legend, from the first set: when an enemy unit attacks a battlefield you control, it gets −1 Might that turn. This card carries the most important detail of the whole leak. Bottom left there is the code «KDA · 001/005 · EN»: a series of its own, five cards, with a code that belongs to no set. Bottom right there is the art credit: Fortiche Production, the French studio that made the animated series Arcane.

The note next to it is about how Ahri leads: «beneath the elegance is someone always listening».
Akali, Rogue Assassin

This is Akali’s Vendetta Legend. It is the most divisive illustration: Akali has a big mass of dark hair, a visor over her eyes and a red board on her shoulders, and plenty of people on Reddit say they would not recognise her. The artist’s note calls her «relentlessly inventive», someone who «thrives on resistance».
Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace

This is Evelynn’s first Legend ever: it arrives with Radiance, the set releasing on October 23, as number 153/167 (here are all her Radiance cards). Once each turn, when you play a card from face down, you draw one. The artist’s note is the oddest of the four: Evelynn shows up at the studio late at night, hooks a finger under the artist’s chin and says just two words: «Big. Hat.»
That hat is the clue that convinced many on Reddit. On October 6 at 19:20 UTC, a few hours before the leak, @SkinSpotlights posted the official background for League of Legends’ ARAM: Mayhem mode, which shows a new K/DA Evelynn for the first time: red outfit and a huge wide-brimmed red hat. Same idea as the box.

Kai’Sa, Daughter of the Void

This is Kai’Sa’s Origins Legend: you exhaust it to add a rune of any colour, usable only to play spells. The artist says she started from movement, «layers of flowing light», and cut back until only «grace» was left. It is the cleanest page in the booklet: white background and a dancing figure in red.
Packed Amphitheater

The fifth card is a battlefield, one of the locations placed in the middle of the table that players fight over to score points: Packed Amphitheater, Radiance number 164/167, which gives +1 Might to champion units there. Two versions of this card already exist: the regular one, on the right here, and the iridescent Ultimate Rare, the rarest card in the set, about one pack in four thousand (I wrote about it here). The box adds a third one with different art: the K/DA silhouettes on stage in front of the crowd. The first post called it «Signature», but I cannot see any signature in the photos.
That is the most upvoted criticism on Reddit: «a variant that’s arguably better than the ultimate rarity, in a box?».
In playWhat changes for players: nothing

Next to the regular versions, the box cards do exactly the same things: same name, same cost, same text. For players nothing changes, and they count like any other copy in tournaments; for collectors they are new versions of four Legends, with a print run nobody knows today.
CarefulThese are not the K/DA alt arts from Radiance packs
K/DA was already in Riftbound: Radiance has five special K/DA alt arts, numbered SP1 to SP5 out of 005, found in regular packs (the poster that showed all of them). The box is something else.
| Radiance K/DA alt arts | «Volume 001» box | |
|---|---|---|
| Where you find them | In Radiance packs | In a separate box, unknown channel |
| Numbering | SP1–SP5/005 | KDA 001–005/005 |
| Cards | Five champions, Seraphine included | Four Legends and a battlefield, no Seraphine |
| Style | League of Legends’ K/DA ALL OUT skins | Artist illustrations, Fortiche Production on Ahri |
| Announced by Riot | Yes, in the Radiance overview | No |
Real or fakeWhat points to a real product, and what does not
Why it looks real
- It is a printed, finished object: die-cut windows, sealed cards, card layout identical to the official one.
- The Ahri card has its own numbering and a Fortiche Production credit.
- The four champions match the new K/DA skins rumoured since August: according to leakers quoted by esportnow they will be called «Firestarter», for Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa, without Seraphine.
- Evelynn’s hat matches the official ARAM image released the same day.
Why to stay careful
- Riot has not announced it, and there is no price or date.
- The first photo comes from an X account opened a month ago, with 7 followers.
- The cards show no PROMO mark; one user points out the T1 bundles do not have it either.
- Some find the artists’ notes AI-written, and some cannot recognise Akali.
To me it is more likely real than fake: a fake of this quality, with a real studio’s credit and a detail that matches an official image released a few hours earlier, would be a huge amount of work for an account with seven followers. It could still be a sample or a prototype that reached a shop early. Until Riot announces it, I treat it as a leak.
How to buyPrice and date: nothing known yet
Riot has said nothing, so there is no price, no date, no list of countries. The closest precedents are the collector products sold on the Riot Merch Store through a drawing, like the T1 Signature Edition bundle and the Vendetta Booster Display, which was open to Italy too. If the box is real, it will probably go that way; but that is a guess, not information.
Why it matters if you play in Europe. If someone offers you this box on pre-order right now, walk away: nobody can sell it today, because officially it does not exist. As soon as Riot announces it, or denies it, I will update this article.

FAQQuestions about the K/DA box
Is the K/DA «Volume 001» box official?
Not yet: Riot has not announced it. The photos show a printed, finished product with a Fortiche Production credit on one card, but for now it is a leak.
Which cards are inside?
Five: the Legends Ahri, Nine-Tailed Fox; Akali, Rogue Assassin; Evelynn, Agony’s Embrace; Kai’Sa, Daughter of the Void, and the Packed Amphitheater battlefield, all with new artwork. The Ahri card is numbered KDA 001/005.
Are they the same K/DA alt arts found in Radiance packs?
No. Those are five cards numbered SP1–SP5/005, Seraphine included; the box has its own numbering, four Legends and a battlefield, and a different style.
How much does it cost and how do you get it?
Unknown. If Riot confirms it, the closest precedent is the Riot Merch Store drawings, as with the T1 bundle.
