Stuttgart puts four different K’Sante, Courageous on the line
Riot has published All Eyes on RC Europe, the official preview of the Regional Championship: Europe running at Messe Stuttgart from 6 to 8 November, and it comes with the prize table. The twist: there is only one card prize, K’Sante, Courageous, printed in four different versions — one for showing up, one for the top 128, one for the Top 8, and a never-before-seen full-art copy for whoever lifts the trophy. Everything else about the weekend is in our complete Stuttgart guide.
The prizeOne card, four printings
We already knew the money: $50,000 overall, $10,000 to the winner, payouts down to 64th place, covered in our piece on the prize pool and schedule. The card prize was missing: it is always K’Sante, Courageous, the Shurima champion unit that shipped with Radiance, wearing a different outfit at every tier.
| Finish | What you get | Number and artist |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | Borderless, full-art K’Sante, Courageous with the Champion stamp, plus the matching playmat (and the $10,000) | RAD 178a/167 · Wild Blue Studios |
| Top 8 | K’Sante, Courageous with the Top 8 stamp and the Top Cut playmat, the one with the Heartsteel graffiti | RAD 086b/167 · TUTU |
| Top 128 | K’Sante, Courageous with a third exclusive illustration, inside the regular frame | RAD 086a/167 · HXY |
| Participation | K’Sante, Courageous with the set’s base illustration, in promo trim | RAD 086/167 · Pixelverse |
All three illustrations are new: the champion copy shows K’Sante in the desert with his Ntofo blades, the Top 8 one revisits the Heartsteel K’Sante of the Showcase variant with a fresh drawing, the Top 128 one is a dark figure against green and purple. One detail worth catching: the tournament copies carry a P after the number, the promo marker, so they are not the printing you pull from packs (RAD-086/167, Showcase RAD-178/167).
The cardWhat K’Sante, Courageous actually does
The text is the same on all four printings: only the art changes. It costs 5 energy, has 4 Might (the strength it fights with), belongs to Shurima and reads “When I hold, channel 1 rune.” In practice it defends well and hands you an extra resource every time it keeps a location.
| Term | What it means |
|---|---|
| Champion Unit | Your champion’s unit, tied to the Legend you picked: only one in play at a time. |
| Accelerate | Pay an extra cost and it arrives ready, instead of waiting a turn before it can act. |
| Shield 2 | While it is defending it gets 2 more Might, so it blocks as a 6 instead of a 4. |
| Hold | Keeping a battlefield under your control — that is how you score points in Riftbound. |
| Channel | Putting a rune into play, which is what pays for your cards. Here you get one extra. |
The other prizeFirst look at the Ziggs Overnumbered
The same page gives the first look at a Radiance Overnumbered Foil Plated Legend: Ziggs, Hexplosives Expert, with the metal plate and the Regional Championship stamp. These are the most coveted cards on the circuit, and Stuttgart changes how they are handed out: instead of going to the best player on each Legend, the top 58 finishers draft them in turn, starting with the winner, until all of them are gone. We covered that rule change in our piece on open decklists and prizing.
Worth a close look after the Mordekaiser printing slip: on this Ziggs the line under the art is there, and it reads “Legend · Ziggs”.
Why it matters for us. Italian players in the main event now know they go home with one more card than expected: the participation promo does not depend on how you finish. For everyone staying home it is a market story — three new illustrations of one card, in tiny numbers and tied to a single tournament, are the kind of promo that almost never surfaces in Europe.
The short version
- The card prize at Regional Championship: Europe is K’Sante, Courageous in four different printings.
- First place gets the full-art Champion-stamped copy and the matching playmat; Top 8 and Top 128 have their own, and everyone in the main event gets the base art as a promo.
- Riot also shows the first Radiance Overnumbered Foil Plated Legend, Ziggs Hexplosives Expert: the top 58 finishers draft them in placement order.
