Legacy Sanctum Boxes leak: six deck boxes, one per region

The six Riftbound Legacy Sanctum Boxes, one per region

NewsMarketby Riccardo Emanuele Eustor · Riftbound Zone

An image doing the rounds this morning shows a line of six deck boxes called Legacy Sanctum Boxes, one for each of the six Runeterra regions that give Riftbound's sixth set its theme: Noxus, Freljord, Bilgewater, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia and Demacia. The graphic carries the watermark of Riftbound Report, a community news account, and was posted to r/riftboundtcg a few hours ago. Riot has announced nothing, and these boxes are not on the official Legacy product list. There is no price and no release date.

What we seeSix boxes, one per region

A deck box is the hard case you keep a sleeved deck in, so you can carry it around without bending the cards. There are six in the image, identical in shape and different in decoration, each one dedicated to a region of the League of Legends world.

Those six regions are exactly the ones Riot named as the heart of Legacy: Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Piltover/Zaun, Freljord and Bilgewater. The set, Riot explained in its 2027 products article, is built around the moment you pick a champion and, with them, the region you are representing at the table. A line of boxes split by region fits that idea neatly.

FreljordOrange
BilgewaterPurple
Piltover & ZaunBlue
IoniaGreen
DemaciaYellow

That order is the one used in the post alongside the image, reading left to right and top to bottom. Each box carries its region's crest on the long side.

How they lookBlue outside, stained glass on the side

The shell is the same dark blue on all six, with a leather-look finish and the Riftbound swirl embossed on the lid. The long side is where the art lives: the region crest is drawn as a stained-glass window, thick outlines with light coming through from behind. The front is a solid colour panel — red for Noxus, orange for Freljord, and so on — with a small thumb notch at the bottom to slide the deck out.

It is the same look as the Legacy Art Sleeves and the collector binder that turned up in retailer catalogues yesterday, where the champions were drawn as stained glass with gold outlines too. Put the two together and it looks like a coordinated accessory line built around the set launch, much like the playmat with the twelve Legends.

The boxes

No Riot announcement, no price, no date, no word on how many cards they hold.

What is missingEverything we do not know

Caution is warranted here. The Legacy product list Riot published on the official site covers boosters and displays, four champion decks (Tryndamere, Ashe, Lux and Garen), the Vault Bundle and the Pre-Rift kits. The Sanctum Boxes are not on it. That can mean two things, and right now there is no way to tell which: either they are an accessory on the way that has not been announced yet, or that list only covered playable products and accessories travel separately, as happened with the sleeves.

The image does not tell us how many cards fit inside either: nothing is printed to that effect, and it is not a number worth guessing. Price and the markets they will be sold in are missing too. Until Riot speaks, these are six product renders and nothing more.

Why it matters here. Players in Italy almost always buy accessories together with the set, because shipping them on their own costs as much as the product itself. Knowing now that a full line is forming around Legacy — sleeves, binder and now boxes — helps you decide whether to wait for January 29 and pick everything up at your local store in one go instead of grabbing a generic deck box in December. And the six regions are the same ones that will theme the set's decks: your region's box will be a thing people notice in the queue at an event, and in the first days after release that kind of item disappears fast.

The short version

  • Six deck boxes called Legacy Sanctum Boxes, one each for Noxus, Freljord, Bilgewater, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia and Demacia.
  • Dark blue shell with an embossed Riftbound swirl and the region crest drawn as stained glass, matching the Legacy sleeves.
  • Riot has confirmed nothing: no price, no date, and they are absent from the official Legacy product list.
  • Legacy, Riftbound's sixth set, releases January 29, 2027, with Pre-Rift from January 22 to 28.
