The standingsWho made the cut
Swiss ran across two days: seven rounds on Saturday, four on Sunday, with 15 match points needed to come back for day two. These are the eight players still alive. "Swiss" is the win-loss-draw record after all eleven rounds.
| # | Player | Legend | Swiss |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tabris | Riven, The Exile | 9-0-2 |
| 2 | LURK xSimo | Kha'Zix, Voidreaver | 9-1-1 |
| 3 | MERC Koopastar | Riven, The Exile | 9-1-1 |
| 4 | TM2 | Riven, The Exile | 9-1-1 |
| 5 | Frosty | Kai'Sa, Daughter of the Void | 9-1-1 |
| 6 | CTCG Relivia | Riven, The Exile | 9-1-1 |
| 7 | Swagyolo420yea | Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow | 9-2-0 |
| 8 | Zapdos | Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow | 9-2-0 |
Tabris is the only unbeaten player in the bracket, with two draws along the way. The best game win rate belongs to MERC Koopastar instead, at 80.6%. Just outside: Zoomy on Kennen, FLX Mrtoolshed and FLX DUULAN on Riven, and JABMTG on Kennen, all 9-2-0 but with worse tiebreakers. Single elimination seeds first against eighth, second against seventh and so on, which means an all-Riven quarterfinal between third and sixth seed, and at least one Riven guaranteed in the semis.
The surpriseJayce: two out of ten
The number worth staring at is not Riven, it is Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow. The final standings list 526 players. Ten of them brought Jayce, and two of those ten are in the Top 8. No other Legend at the event converted anywhere near that rate.
Jayce is a Vendetta Legend built around equipment. His card does three things: he can Empower himself for 2 energy and two runes; for 1 energy and by exhausting — turning the card sideways, which is how Riftbound charges you for using an ability — he readies a piece of gear, meaning equipment already attached to a unit; and once Empowered he readies two instead of one. In plain terms, the same equipment gets used two or three times in a single turn.
2 of 10
Ten players picked the Legend, two are in the Top 8: the best conversion rate of the event.
0 of 46
Second most played Legend in Orlando, nobody inside the cut: the best finish is ninth.
RivenHalf the bracket, for the third time
Riven, The Exile was already the most picked Legend on Friday: 87 of the 526 players in the standings, 16.5% of them. Four in the Top 8 is a 4.6% conversion, roughly her share of the field — not a blow-up, just a Legend that keeps pace while everything around her burns out.
The real story is that it happens every single time. Melbourne ended with three Riven in the Top 8, Sacramento with four, Orlando again with four. Three official events in nine days, and half the final bracket is always the same card that lets units you play to battlefields you control enter ready.

Behind her, Orlando looked about how everyone expected: Kennen on 46 players, Kai'Sa on 30, then Vex, Gloomist on 25 and Rengar, Pridestalker on 24. Kha'Zix, Voidreaver, the Legend leading the standings after day one, started from 13 players and pushed one of them — LURK xSimo — into the quarterfinals as the second seed.
Why it matters here. The European Regional Championship in Stuttgart opens on Friday, November 6: $50,000, Radiance legal, the same Constructed format. Orlando is the last big event before it, and it tells anyone flying out two things — expect Riven in half the bracket, and there is still room for a Legend nobody plays. Stuttgart decklists are due by November 4, which leaves three days to make up your mind.
The short version
- Orlando Top 8: four Riven, two Jayce, one Kha'Zix, one Kai'Sa, out of 592 entrants.
- Jayce converted two of its ten pilots; Kennen, second most played with 46, missed entirely.
- Third straight official event with half the Top 8 on Riven, five days out from Stuttgart.
