Radiance pre-orders: the same box costs €115 to €191 in Europe

Riftbound Radiance booster display and booster pack, pre-order prices

NewsMarketby Riccardo Emanuele Eustor · Riftbound Zone

Eight days out from the Radiance launch, nobody has opened a box yet, so every store is simply picking an opening price. The spread is enormous: according to the comparison posted on r/riftboundtcg by u/Specificx, who runs the RiftCompare tracker, the same booster box runs €114.99 to €191.00 in Europe and US$129.97 to US$189.99 in the United States. We checked the US figures ourselves on the tracker page; the European ones we report as the source gives them, alongside our own daily Cardmarket reading.

The numbersSame box, 66% apart

The booster box — the 24-pack carton stores also call a display — is where the gap is widest. The tracker follows 85 stores and marketplaces across six markets, with 239 Radiance listings and 142 pre-orders currently open. In Europe the cheapest asks €114.99 and the dearest €191.00: 66% more for an identical box. In the United States it runs from US$129.97 (Game Nerdz) to US$189.99 (Many Realms), a 46% gap, against a US distributor list price of $120 — so even the best offer already sits above list.

In the smaller markets prices are nearly flat: the United Kingdom runs £115.00 to £119.99, Canada C$245.00 to C$264.22, Australia A$230 to A$240. Singapore has a single reference point, from S$189.73.

In EuropeCardmarket starts at €110

Our automated Cardmarket reading, last refreshed on October 14, tells the same story from the European side: the Radiance Booster Box starts at €110, with a trend price (the reference average across listings) of €135 and 457 copies for sale. The Vault — the bundle with six packs, 36 runes, three foil promo tokens and a storage box — starts at €34.00, the Evelynn vs Seraphine Showdown Decks at €32.49, and the Pre-Rift Event Kit, the box stores use to run prerelease nights, at €31.00.

The comparison that matters over here is with the official store. In its Radiance product drawing FAQ Riot listed the display at €127.99 plus shipping and the Showdown Decks at €36.99. Today the cheapest European pre-order sits below that figure, while the dearest sits 49% above it.

from €110

The lowest offer recorded on Cardmarket on October 14. The dearest tracked European store asks €191.

Why it matters here. In Italy there is no official price list to anchor to: Riot gave a European price only for its own store, and only for one box per selected entrant in a draw. Everything else is open pre-sale, and open pre-sale currently runs from Cardmarket’s €110 to nearly double that. In the week before Pre-Rift, ten minutes of comparing beats booking in a hurry — the product is identical everywhere, because nobody has opened anything yet.

The outlierThe Vault is the product that moved

One product has pulled clearly away from list price in the US. The Vault Bundle carries a $34.99 distributor list price, but the American stores that were selling it between $34.99 and $39.99 now show as sold out, and the cheapest open pre-order today is US$49.99, 43% above list. In Europe that pressure has not shown up yet: on Cardmarket the Vault still sits at €34.00 with 162 copies available.

The reverse is true as well: the Showdown Decks, list price $34.99, can be pre-ordered from $23.70 on TCGplayer in the US and from €32.49 in Europe. They are the products with the most copies in circulation, and it shows.

What to doPre-order or wait

The practical rule has not changed, and it applies to sealed product more than to singles. If the goal is opening packs, pre-ordering makes sense: what runs out is not price but allocation — how many boxes actually reach the store on October 23. If you need specific cards, waiting is almost always cheaper: singles peak during Pre-Rift week, October 16–22, when the only copies in circulation come from prerelease nights, and they settle a few weeks after release.

The short version

  • In Europe the Radiance booster box pre-orders between €114.99 and €191.00: a 66% gap for the same box.
  • In the United States it runs $129.97 to $189.99, against a $120 distributor list price.
  • On Cardmarket, our October 14 reading, it starts at €110 against €127.99 on the Riot store.
  • The US Vault has climbed to $49.99 against a $34.99 list price; in Europe it is still €34.
