The Ziggs Pre-Rift pack: all 15 cards, leaked

Ziggs, Hexplosives Expert, the Legend in the Radiance Pre-Rift champion pack

NewsCardsby Riccardo Emanuele Eustor · Riftbound Zone

Radiance Pre-Rift events open on Friday, October 16, and the Ziggs champion pack holds 15 cards — we now know which ones. They were pulled together from a kit-opening video by creator LotharHS Riftbound and written out card by card by a Reddit user. Riot has never published the contents of the nine champion packs, so this is an unconfirmed preview. We checked every name against the set: fourteen hold up, one does not.

The kitWhat a champion pack actually is

You don't bring a deck to a Pre-Rift — the store hands you one. The kit contains five Radiance Booster Packs, a Heimerdinger, Academy Instructor promo, and a champion pack built around one of the set's nine new Legends. Riot's announcement says what sits inside that pack — a Legend, a Rare Champion unit, a Battlefield and support cards — but never which ones. That is precisely the gap this list fills.

For the bigger picture we have already covered what comes in the kit and how Sealed deckbuilding works.

How it playsIt all runs on Bombs

The pack is built on a single idea: cover the battlefields in Bombs. Four of the fifteen cards make one — the Ziggs Legend (one per turn, for a Rune), the Ziggs, Explosive unit, Amateur Demolitionist as it enters, and the spell Satchel Charge.

The other half of the idea sits around it: cards that get paid when something of yours dies. Lingering Animus arrives ready to fight if a friendly unit or gear died that turn; Shimmering Swimmer lets you sacrifice a card to deal 2 damage; Runeblade Anvil can destroy itself. Since Bombs die for a living, the engine feeds itself.

The pack's jargon, in plain words
TermWhat it means
BombA gear token you put on a battlefield. When it dies it deals 2 damage to an enemy unit standing there (and takes out your other Bombs in the same spot).
DeployThe card can only be played onto a battlefield. If an opponent manages to hold that battlefield, the card dies.
Disarm 2When the unit attacks, it strips 2 Might from an enemy unit standing there, for that turn.
PredictYou look at the top card of your deck and decide whether to recycle it or leave it where it is.

Deploy and Disarm are two of Radiance's three new keywords: we broke down all of them, Show Off included, in our guide to the rules taking effect on October 16. The pack's Battlefield, Rakelstake, hands out Predict to the first player who drops a unit or gear there each turn — both players, not just you.

The checkWhat holds up, and what doesn't

We matched all fifteen names against the set gallery. Fourteen are real Radiance cards, and they line up in a way that would be hard to fake: every single support card belongs to Fury or Chaos — exactly the two domains of the Ziggs Legend. The shape matches Riot's own description too: one Legend, one Rare Champion unit, one Battlefield and twelve support cards, fifteen in total.

holds up

14 names out of 15

All present in the set, all in the right domains, and the pack's make-up is the one Riot described in its official announcement.

doesn't

“Explosimian”

No card by that name turns up in Radiance or in any public list. It may be a slip of transcription, or a card not yet catalogued: the gallery we track is still missing 23 of the 167 numbered cards.

The underlying limit stands: this is one source, and a second-hand one — a user writing down what a video showed. Until Riot publishes the official lists, read it as a preview, not as a document.

Why it matters to us. Pre-Rift events start in Italian stores on Friday, October 16, and the champion pack is the backbone of the deck you'll build right there at the table — it's where almost everyone starts. Knowing in advance how one of the nine packs is put together tells you what kind of deck you'd be holding if Ziggs is the one you get: a deck that wants plenty of Bombs and cards that profit when something dies. You turn up with a plan instead of fifteen cards to read for the first time. One caveat: you don't choose your pack.

The short version

  • The Ziggs champion pack in the Radiance Pre-Rift kit holds 15 cards: the Legend, Ziggs, Explosive, the Rakelstake Battlefield and 12 support cards.
  • The list comes from a kit-opening video, transcribed on Reddit; Riot has never published what is in the nine packs.
  • Fourteen of the fifteen names are real Radiance cards, all in the Fury and Chaos domains; the fifteenth, “Explosimian”, turns up nowhere.
  • Pre-Rift runs from Friday, October 16 for a week; the set releases on October 23.
