Radiance is out today: what’s in a pack and what a box costs

Official key art for Riftbound Radiance, the set released on October 23, 2026

NewsCardsby Riccardo Emanuele Eustor · Riftbound Zone

Riftbound: Radiance goes on sale today, October 23. The set brings 167 numbered cards plus seventeen Overnumber variants, nine new Legends and three keywords nobody has played with before: Deploy, Show Off and Disarm. Riot is printing it in English, French and Chinese, so Italian players will be opening English packs. Across Europe the same booster box was taking preorders at anything from €114.99 to €191.

The set167 numbered cards, nine Legends

Radiance is Riftbound’s fifth set and the last one of the 2026 season. The numbered run goes from RAD 001/167 to RAD 167/167. Everything above that number is an Overnumber: collector variants of the nine new Legends and of the Heartsteel champions, printed with an out-of-range number and, in some cases, the artist’s signature. They are not extra playable cards — they are the same cards wearing different art.

We have covered each of the nine Legends on their own, and every revealed card sits in our spoiler grid. On the product side, the line that matters most in Italy is on the official page: Riot lists three release languages, English, French and Chinese. There is no Italian printing, so a pack bought here is an English pack.

The packsFourteen cards, and one slot that can pop

Every pack holds fourteen cards plus an informational insert. Seven are commons, three are uncommons, one is foil and one is a rare or an epic. The last one is the slot everybody checks first: it can be a rare, an epic, an Alt Art, a Special Alt, an Overnumber or the set’s Ultimate Rare.

The Radiance Ultimate Rare is only the second in the game’s history after the Unleashed Baron, and it is the first one that is also a showcase Battlefield. Riot says it shows up in 0.025% of booster packs, roughly one in four thousand, and that it is guaranteed in no pack, no box and no case. Those are averages across the whole print run, not promises.

The productsDisplay, Showdown Decks and the Vault

Three things are on the shelf today for anyone to buy. The booster display, the box of packs with Ekko and Seraphine on the front. The two Showdown Decks, ready-to-play preconstructed lists: we published the full Seraphine decklist and the full Evelynn decklist. And the Vault, back again with a storage box, six Radiance packs, foil tokens and a set of 36 Runes.

Pre-Rift Kits are not on that list: those were the store kits for the prerelease nights that wrapped up yesterday, with five packs and a seeded pack for each of the nine new Legends.

What comes next

Radiance Summoner Skirmish events start in stores on November 9, with a second wave on December 14. Gift of the Rift lands on December 4.

At the tableThe three new words, in plain language

The Radiance rules are already live: they came into force on October 16 with the core rules patch, which we broke down here. If you are meeting them for the first time while opening packs today, three lines are enough.

Radiance keywords
DeployThis Gear can only be played onto a Battlefield and pays off while that Battlefield is yours. If an opponent takes it, the Gear dies.
Show OffYou reveal a card from your hand or your board, and that unlocks an extra effect on the card you are playing.
DisarmAs you attack, you cut an enemy Unit’s Might (its strength). Stack more Disarm and it drops further.
BombA new token: the more bombs you play, the bigger the bang.

There is also a card type that did not exist before: Equipment Units, equipment that turns into a unit. It happens through Orianna’s Legend effect, and the moment a piece of equipment becomes a unit it unequips itself.

Why it matters for us. There is no Italian printing of Radiance: the packs on Italian shelves are English, and card names stay in official English even in our own coverage. The second point is for players. Radiance is already baked into Europe’s big event: the Stuttgart Regional Championship schedule, November 6–8, lists a Radiance 2v2 Team Challenge side event, and the Best-Of prizing covers the set’s Legends. Anyone heading there has two and a half weeks to learn the new cards.
