Riftbound KDA Couture Collection: wave 2 drawing emails are out
Riot sent the second wave of Riftbound x K/DA Couture Collection drawing emails: 24-hour link, $150. What we know about EU checkout.
On Tuesday afternoon Riot started emailing the winners of the Riftbound x K/DA: Couture Collection drawing, each with a link to buy the $150 box that stays live for 24 hours. The catch: several European players on r/riftboundtcg say they can't finish the order, because checkout only offers the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan. Riot hasn't commented yet. If you were picked, don't let the link run out.

The timing matched the plan: the official FAQ said the first emails would go out from November 3, and they did. The first "check your email" posts showed up on Reddit around 16:00 UTC, with a screenshot of the message: subject line Complete Your Purchase, sent by Riot Games Merchandise, and a blunt warning that the link "will only work for 24 hours".
Within half an hour the problems started. u/IndependentCaramel61 says the box can't be shipped to Germany, and that PayPal, credit card, Apple Pay and debit card all failed. Their screenshot shows a checkout priced in US dollars with a country menu of just six entries, none of them European, under the message "Shipping isn't available in the country you selected". u/riftingthebound reports the same thing: EU account, email received, but only North American addresses are allowed, and the store says the product "is not available for delivery to your location".

On October 28 we reported that Italy was among the countries served, for a concrete reason: the sign-up page existed in Italian and pointed to the Riot Games Store shipping terms, which list Italy with 4-7 business days delivery. We checked again today, and that page still says the same thing.
There are two plausible explanations, and neither is confirmed. One: it's a mistake, and some European winners were sent the US store link instead of the EU one. Two: emails go out in regional waves, and Europeans who got the wrong link will get a working one later. Until Riot says so, both are guesses. What is certain is that the link lasts 24 hours, and that under the FAQ an expired link passes your chance on to someone else.
Emails went out on November 3, the link lasts 24 hours, checkout shows $150. Several European winners only see non-European countries.
Whether it's a bug, whether a separate EU wave is coming, or whether Riot will extend the deadline for those stuck. No official word so far.
Open the link now, not tomorrow night: if checkout offers your country, pay and you're done. If it only lists far-away countries, take a timestamped screenshot and contact Riot support before the 24 hours are up, quoting the email you received. Don't enter an address in another country just to get the order through: the box would ship somewhere you aren't.
Why it matters for us. This time Italy was in the drawing through the front door, with an Italian sign-up page and shipping from the Netherlands: for many players here it was the first chance to buy a Riot product like this without a middleman. If the European checkout doesn't work, winners risk losing their spot over a problem that isn't theirs. We'll update as soon as Riot responds.
