Stuttgart Regional Championship: complete guide
Stuttgart Regional, Nov 6-8: schedule, rules, $50,000 prize pool, side events, Nation Clash, Prize Wall and what to expect at the venue.
A last-minute change for the most valuable prizes at Regional Championship Europe: the Plated Legends, the metal cards awarded through Best-Of prizing and the Overnumbered draft, will no longer be handed out on site. Riot will distribute them after the event by depositing them on Fanatics Collect, a collectibles vault and marketplace. Riot Games’ Michael Sherman announced it this morning, a couple of hours before badge pickup opened, and the same process applies to the North American Regional Championship in December. Everything else about the weekend is in our complete Stuttgart guide.

Until now, winning a Plated Legend meant walking away with it. From today, at Stuttgart and at Convergence Fest in December, Best-Of winners and Overnumbered draft participants will need to create a Fanatics Collect account. Riot deposits the card there, and the winner decides what happens next. According to the post there are three options:
| Option | Who pays |
|---|---|
| Keep it stored on the platform | No costs mentioned in the post |
| Have it delivered home | Riot covers delivery fees for the winner |
| Transfer it to someone else | Not covered by Riot |
In short: if you win the card and ship it to yourself, it costs nothing; if you sell or gift it through the platform, the delivery fees are not on Riot.
Sherman frames the decision around player safety: as the value of these prizes climbed, leaving the venue with a metal card in your backpack became a real risk. “Player safety at Riot events is of paramount focus for us,” he writes. Best-Of winners will still get their photo, but it will be taken with media copies of the Plated Legends rather than the real ones. Riot acknowledges this is a new process and says it is working with Fanatics Collect to keep it smooth.
One figure does not line up. The official prizing page from Riftbound Organized Play, last updated October 30, says the Overnumbered Foil Plated Legend draft is for the top 58 finishers, picking from 58 different Legends in order of placement. Sherman’s post this morning refers to the “Top 52” draft participants instead. The official page has not changed and remains the reference for now; if Riot corrects the number, we will update this article. The draft itself is explained in our Overnumbered Plated Legend article.
One for each Legend from Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance, to the highest day 2 finisher who played it.
The top finishers take turns picking a metal Legend, starting with the champion.
Why it matters for us. If an Italian player makes the top 58 or wins a Best-Of, they will not fly home with the card: they will need a Fanatics Collect account and will have to wait for delivery. The post says nothing about shipping times or customs for players based in Europe, so anyone in that position should ask the staff on site before leaving. And if you were hoping to buy a Plated Legend straight from a winner outside the hall, from now on the card goes through the platform first.
