Stuttgart side events: the full schedule, from €10 to €75
Riftbound Organized Play has published the full schedule for the Regional Championship Europe, running at Messe Stuttgart from November 6 to 8. Around thirty side events sit alongside the main event: from the €10 tables that restart all day to the €75 limited challenges, by way of a 4,000-seat Super Nexus Night on Friday evening with a promo pack for everyone. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 30 at 9:00 AM.
The pictureYou do not need to be qualified
The main event is for players who earned their seat, but the rest of the hall is not: a weekend badge gets you in. The side events come in two families. The ones marked High/Competitive are long tournaments with a decklist to submit and best-of-three matches. The Low/Casual ones last a few hours, play out in a single game (Bo1) and are built for people filling the gap between rounds.
Prizes are not cash but Prize Wall tickets: you bank them by winning matches and spend them at the prize wall, which holds the playmats Riot has already shown and the rest of the haul. The tougher the tournament, the more tickets a win is worth.
HeavyweightsThe six competitive challenges
| Day and time | Event | Format | Entry | Cap |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Fri 6, 10:00 AM | Radiance Standard Challenge | 6 rounds, Bo3 | €50 | 2,048 |
| Fri 6, 11:00 AM | Radiance 2v2 Team Challenge | 6 rounds, Bo1 | €50 | 1,024 |
| Sat 7, 9:00 AM | Nation Clash | 8 rounds, Bo3 + Top 8 | €50 | 2,048 |
| Sat 7, 10:00 AM | Radiance Draft Challenge | 6 rounds, Bo3 | €75 | 1,024 |
| Sun 8, 9:00 AM | Radiance Standard Challenge | 6 rounds, Bo3 | €50 | 2,048 |
| Sun 8, 10:00 AM | Radiance Sealed Challenge | 5 rounds, Bo3 | €75 | 1,024 |
Nation Clash is the weekend's genuine novelty and runs on its own logic: your matches score points for the country on your badge. We covered it in a separate piece.
The two €75 events are the limited ones, where you build your deck on the spot from packs handed to you. Saturday's Draft Challenge seats pods of eight: three Radiance packs, pass the cards around, build — then draft three more packs between rounds three and four. Sunday's Sealed Challenge gives you six Radiance packs and 45 minutes to assemble a deck, and that is the deck you keep: no changes between rounds.
One detail worth knowing before you enter: the two Radiance Standard Challenges test two different rules from the set Riot is trialling to even out going second. On Friday the second player draws an extra card after channeling runes on their first turn; on Sunday they score a point instead. We explained all three variants here.
Friday nightSuper Nexus Night, 4,000 seats
The party slot is Friday's Super Nexus Night at 7:30 PM: €25 entry, three half-hour rounds, a cap of 4,000 players. It is the store-level Nexus Night format inflated to convention scale. Every entrant receives a Nexus Night booster pack — the promo pool that for Radiance has grown from 25 to 31 cards and now includes Rares for the first time. Door prizes are then handed out at random each round.
No bookingThe tables that run all day
If you would rather not block out a whole day, four on-demand events restart constantly: show up, pay, play. Constructed launches at :05, :25 and :45 past each hour, four-player Free for All at :15, :35 and :55, 2v2 at :10, :30 and :50, all at €10. The Radiance draft restarts at :00, :20 and :40 and costs €25, packs included. There is also a free Learn to Play table with demo decks and a guided half-hour game: the right place to drag along a friend who has never played.
On-demand tables
Constructed, Free for All and 2v2 restart every twenty minutes, three rounds at most.
Champion Deck Trial
You get a random champion deck and 15 minutes to tune it. Only 32 seats per session.
In between sit the odder ideas, all with small caps: Escalating Sealed, where you start on six Radiance packs and gain one pack from an older set after each round (Vendetta, Unleashed, Spiritforged, Origins, in that order) to upgrade your deck; the 5 Pack Chaos Draft, one pack from every set released so far; and Team Trios Chaos Sealed, in teams of three with 15 packs to share out.
Why it matters for us. Stuttgart is a few hours from Italy by car or plane and it is the last major European event before 2027: travelling without a qualification does not mean watching from the rail, because between on-demand tables, the Super Nexus Night and Nation Clash you can play from morning to night at €10–50 a tournament. The catch is the date: seats open on October 30 and the big limited events hold only 1,024 players against Constructed's 2,048. If the Draft or Sealed Challenge is your target, set an alarm.
