The productWhat is in the box
The centrepiece is five cards with brand-new artwork by Fortiche, the studio behind Arcane. Four are Legends, one is a Battlefield:
- Agony's Embrace (Evelynn)
- Nine-Tailed Fox (Ahri)
- Rogue Assassin (Akali)
- Daughter of the Void (Kai'Sa)
- the Packed Amphitheater Battlefield
A quick refresher for anyone new to the game. Your Legend is the champion card that sits in front of you for the whole game and sets which colours your deck may use. A Battlefield is one of the locations players fight over during a game: hold it and you score points. One detail is worth pausing on: Riot calls these "collectible" cards and does not say whether they are tournament legal. In the leaked photos from October 7 the rules text matched the regular printings and only the art was different, but until Riot says so, that stays unconfirmed. The ordinary Packed Amphitheater, for reference, also shows up in Radiance packs.
The rest of the box holds a limited edition playmat, a deck box, a pack of 75 card sleeves, four metal D12 dice and a FIRESTARTER KiT keychain with its manual: plug it into your phone and it plays K/DA's new single and the official music video.
Buying itNot a pre-order, a lottery
Riot uses this system on its merch store when it already knows demand will outrun stock. During the registration window you simply throw your name in the ring. If you are drawn, you get an email with a link to a pre-filled cart and 24 hours to pay. Let the link expire and your shot is over: the stock goes back to the store and someone else is drawn, picked only from people who have not been selected yet. The waves keep going until the stock runs out.

Riot flags two mundane things that cost people their slot: check before October 27 that you can still log into your Riot account, and make sure riotgames.com emails are not landing in spam. On shipping the FAQ contradicts itself: in one place it says orders are fulfilled within 1-3 business days, in another that they ship on the product's wide release day, without saying when that is.
BackstoryFrom a Reddit photo to $2,499 and back
I have been chasing this box for two weeks. On October 7 photos of an unannounced Riftbound × K/DA "Volume 001" case appeared on r/riftboundtcg, containing a booklet and these same five cards. Two days later a US store, Ultima Supply, opened pre-orders at $2,499.99, using pictures lifted from the leak. Today Riot has put the real number on it.
$150
The price Riot states in the FAQ, plus shipping and handling.
$2,499.99
The pre-order a US store opened on October 8, built on leaked photos.
Why it matters for the Italian community. One honest warning: the FAQ does not say which countries can enter, gives no shipping costs, and refers only to the Riot Merch Store with a price in US dollars. Players in Italy should open the page themselves at 5:00 PM Italian time on October 27 and check whether Italy is served — registering is free, takes minutes, and the window lasts only three days. The other useful number is the price: anyone who saw that $2,499 pre-order now knows the real tag reads $150.
