The postWhat the official account actually said
On October 19 Riot Games Music announced the band’s return after nearly six years, with the official Firestarter music video: it lives at riot.com/FIRESTARTER-MV, which leads to the League of Legends YouTube channel. MIYEON and SOYEON of i-dle sing on it, alongside Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb.
A few hours later came the quote post from @playriftbound, the account Riot uses to talk about the card game. A statement and a question, nothing more: calling Riftbound K/DA’s «next stage» is a fairly transparent nudge, but a nudge is all it is.

How we read it. X is not reachable from our systems, so we saw the post in this screenshot, published on Reddit about an hour later. To check it was genuine we opened the link inside the quoted message: it does lead to the official video on the League of Legends channel. Riot has published nothing on playriftbound.com.
The contextK/DA are already in Radiance — wearing the old look
Anyone cracking Radiance packs from Friday can already pull five K/DA cards. They are alt arts: cards with exactly the same rules text and numbers as the regular versions, but a different illustration. Only the picture changes, never what the card does in a game. You spot them by the code in the bottom left corner, which ends in /005 instead of the usual set total.
| Code | Card | Seen yet? |
|---|---|---|
| SP1/005 | Ahri (presumed) | Only on the promo poster |
| SP2/005 | Akali, Brash | Yes |
| SP3/005 | Evelynn, In Control | Yes |
| SP4/005 | Kai’Sa, Rebel | Yes |
| SP5/005 | Seraphine, Not Alone | Yes |
And here is the detail that makes last night’s post interesting. Those five illustrations are the K/DA ALL OUT versions, the 2020 look — not the red Firestarter look you see at the top of this page. If Riot is pushing the comeback now, whatever comes next cannot be the material already printed in Radiance.
The suspicion«Volume 001», the box Riot never announced
On October 7, photos of an unannounced product turned up on r/riftboundtcg: a Riftbound — League of Legends · K/DA · «Volume 001» · 2026 box holding an illustrated booklet and five cards (the Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai’Sa Legends plus the Packed Amphitheater battlefield). Two days later a US shop listed it for pre-order at $2,499.99. We covered both in detail: the five cards in the box and the $2,500 pre-order. Since then, silence.
What we know
K/DA are back with Firestarter. Radiance launches on October 23 and contains five K/DA alt arts. Riftbound’s official account publicly connected the two.
What is missing
Whether a K/DA product beyond Radiance exists at all, what is in it, what it costs, when it ships and whether Europe gets it. Riot has said nothing on any of that.
Why it matters to us. The five K/DA alt arts are among the most wanted collector cards in Radiance, and the set opens on Friday in Italian shops too: anyone buying packs this week is already hunting for them. If there really is a separate product behind that post, the first thing to find out is whether it reaches Europe or stays a US or Asian exclusive, the way the Korean Ahri did. For now the rule is simple: do not chase pre-orders for boxes Riot has not announced.
The short version
- The official @playriftbound account said K/DA «found their next stage», quoting the band’s comeback with Firestarter.
- It is the first public link Riot has drawn between K/DA and the card game, but it is not an announcement: no product, no price, no date.
- Radiance arrives on October 23 with five K/DA alt arts, which use the 2020 ALL OUT look rather than the Firestarter one.
