The fixed pointOn Friday the desk opens at 8:00 AM
The badge is your ticket for the weekend: without it you can’t get into the venue and you can’t play anything, neither the main event for qualified players nor the side events, the open tournaments that run alongside the main one. You collect it at the organiser’s desk, and you can already do it on Thursday afternoon, the day before play starts.
The time that really matters is Friday’s, and it’s the only one the two official pages agree on: the desk opens at 8:00 AM, while on October 20 the organiser’s page said 9:00 AM. Round 1 of the main event is at 10:00 AM: two hours of margin instead of one. If you arrive in town on Thursday you can get it out of the way the afternoon before, from 2:00 PM, and skip the morning queue altogether.
All times below are Stuttgart time (CET), the same as Italy since the clocks went back on Sunday, October 25.
Watch outTwo official pages, two different tables
From here on the sources part ways, and it’s worth knowing before you book your trip home. This is the difference, line by line, between the page published by Riot and the event page on Riftbound Organized Play, the official organized play website.
| Day | According to Riot | According to Riftbound Organized Play |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday, November 5 | 2:00 – 7:00 PM | 2:00 – 6:00 PM |
| Friday, November 6 | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM |
| Saturday, November 7 | 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM | 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM |
| Sunday, November 8 | 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM |
Entering the venue is a different thing from collecting your badge, and here too the two pages don’t match. Riot says halls 8 and 10 are open from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday and from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, and that Premium badge holders can get in from 8:00 AM. The organiser’s page, on the other hand, gives no closing times and says doors open at 8:30 AM for Premium and 9:00 AM for Standard, on all three days.

In practiceWhat to do until they fix it
Neither page corrects the other, and neither is more official than the other: one is Riot’s, the other belongs to the official UVS circuit. As long as they stay like this, the only sensible rule is to go with the earlier time every time: at the desk by 6:00 PM on Thursday, by 8:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, by 6:00 PM on Sunday. Turn up at the last minute and you risk finding it closed over a difference that isn’t your fault.
Same reasoning for the doors: even with a Premium badge, plan to be there for 8:30 AM rather than 8:00 AM, because that’s the time that appears on both pages. Half an hour of waiting costs less than a closed door.
Why it matters to us. Stuttgart is a day’s journey from Italy, and plenty of players will leave early on Friday morning to save a night in a hotel. Knowing the desk opens at 8:00 AM rather than 9:00 AM means you can aim for an earlier train or flight, show up with your badge already in hand and sit down for round 1 without rushing. But it also means not trusting a single table: on four lines out of five the two official pages say different things, and anyone heading home on Sunday needs the right time, not the most convenient one.
In short
- Badge pickup on Friday, November 6 opens at 8:00 AM: the only time Riot and Riftbound Organized Play agree on, and an hour earlier than what was known on October 20.
- Round 1 of the main event is still at 10:00 AM on Friday: two hours of margin after the desk opens.
- You can collect your badge from Thursday afternoon, from 2:00 PM.
- The two official pages contradict each other on desk closing times and on the entry time for Premium badges: go with the earlier of the two.
