The eventWhere, when and what time
The booth is in the Padiglione Carducci, at Viale Giosuè Carducci 187. The number to look for on the show map is CAR 305. Hours are the same on all five days: 9:00-19:00, Italian time. The pavilion is inside the show, so you need a Lucca Comics & Games ticket to get in.
Booth CAR 305
Padiglione Carducci, every day from 9:00 to 19:00: demos, card display and retail.
2 per person, max
The cap covers the whole show, not each day: Riot’s slide says “per weekend”.
BookingThe QR code leads to the official calendar
The last image in the post says “Scan the QR code to sign up for sales & demos”. I decoded it: it opens the playriftbound.com event page, already centered on the pavilion’s address. You sign up with your Riot account, the same one you use for store tournaments.
In the calendar the organizer is “UVS Convention Events” and there are two kinds of slots:
- Lucca Sales Event: these are the slots for buying. They start every half hour from 10:00 to 13:00 (the last one at 12:30 on Sunday) and have 50 places each, 40 for the last one of the day;
- Learn to Play @Lucca: these are the demos. There is one every hour, the first at 9:30 (10:30 today) and the last at 17:30, with 36 places each.
Overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday the slots for Friday 30 and almost all of those for Saturday 31 were still missing; by Wednesday noon the calendar showed them all. So the Secret Garden is on sale every day of the show, not just the weekend: seven slots a day from Wednesday to Saturday, six on Sunday. Riot doesn’t say the Secret Garden can only be bought with a booking. But the sales slots exist, and at Essen walk-up sales lasted exactly one day. If you want one, I would book now.
RetailRadiance accessories and Secret Garden
The product slide lists two things: for Radiance, the set released on October 23, playmats, sleeves, the Showdown Deck and Vaults; then the Secret Garden. In the picture the Showdown Deck is Evelynn vs Seraphine: two ready-made decks built to play against each other straight out of the box. No booster packs or booster boxes appear on the slide, so don’t count on Lucca for Radiance packs.
| Product | Note |
|---|---|
| Radiance playmats and sleeves | Accessories for the new set |
| Radiance Showdown Deck: Evelynn vs Seraphine | Two ready-made decks, one against the other |
| Radiance Vault | |
| Secret Garden bundle | 2 per person, max, for the whole show |

The Secret Garden is the convention box: three alternate-art cards, collectible accessories and three Unleashed booster packs. In the United States it costs $70; Riot hasn’t published the euro price at the booth yet. The two-copy cap comes straight from Essen. On October 22, the first day of Spiel, the queue was so long that the show had all sales cancelled for the day. From the next day you could only buy with a booked slot, two copies each (the full story). In Lucca the same rules apply from day one. It is probably the last chance, too: in its September correction Riot named Lucca as the bundle’s last planned stop.
The promoRiven, Shattered
The event card is Riven, Shattered, the same promo as at Gen Con, PAX West and Paris Games Week. The slides in the post show it without saying how to get it. At the other shows the rule was always the same: it went to players who completed a guided game in the Learn to Play area. The Lucca QR code, not by chance, filters the calendar to the demos. I expect the same rule, but that is my inference: ask the staff when you sign up.

It is a Noxus Champion Unit with 3 cost and 3 might and the Weaponmaster tag. When Riven attacks, you choose an enemy unit at that battlefield and deal 2 to it for each Equipment attached to Riven. With no Equipment the ability does nothing; with two attached it deals 4 before combat even starts. The regular version is Riven, Shattered from Vendetta; the giveaway is the 041a promo variant, with the promo stamp and the Dawnbringer art from League of Legends.
At the boothDemos and the card display
Learn to Play is a full game with a staff member next to you, explaining the rules as you go. You don’t need to know anything beforehand, and it is the easiest way to bring a friend who has never played Riftbound to the table.
Then there is the display: Signature cards and special cards from Spiritforged, Unleashed, Vendetta and Radiance, all shown together. They are the rarest versions of the four sets, the ones you usually only see in photos.
Why it matters to us. For once Riot’s booth is in Italy, with no flight to Paris or Essen needed. For anyone waiting on the Secret Garden, this is almost certainly the last chance to buy it at list price instead of on the secondary market. The two-copy cap also makes it harder for resellers to clear the stock in a single morning. And if you want someone to try the game, the demo costs only the time of one game and leaves a card in their hand.
