From scratchThe words you need first
| Exhaust | A unit that attacks or moves turns sideways: it is exhausted and does nothing else for that turn. |
| Ready | The opposite: the unit stands back up, free to move again. |
| Awaken Phase | The first beat of every turn, when all exhausted units stand back up on their own. It is the engine that restarts the board. |
| Might | How hard the unit hits when it fights. |
| Fury rune | The red rune. On top of Energy, many cards also ask for a rune of one specific colour. |
The textWhat the card does, line by line
There are four lines on the card. The first three hand out speed, the fourth shuts off the tap.
1. «I enter ready.» The moment it lands it can already move or attack. The fact that the card bothers to say so tells you this is not the normal rule.
2. «When you play me, ready all enemy units.» A gift to your opponent, but a one-off: every unit they already have on the board stands back up as this one arrives.
3. «Other units enter ready.» A standing effect that stays switched on while the card is on the table. The Chinese says «other units» and stops there, without separating yours from theirs: it covers whoever plays one.
4. «Units can’t ready during the Awaken Phase.» This is where a chunk of the turn goes dark. Whatever exhausts stays exhausted, because the automatic stand-up at the start of the turn no longer happens for anybody.
Put together: every unit shows up ready and makes its move straight away, then it is stuck there. Standing it back up takes cards that ready by hand. That is exactly what the thread argued about, with more than one player asking whether line 3 only covers your own units («Confused about the third line here», writes u/salcedoge) and others pointing out how dangerous it is to hand the opponent a free round of ready units.
What the photo shows
Code RAD · 019/167 · SC, type Unit, Freljord tag, cost 6 Energy plus 1 Fury rune, Might 6, art credited to Six More Vodka, copyright ©2026RGI.
What we don’t know
The English name, the final rarity and the official English text. The card is not in Riot’s gallery, nor in the preview catalogues we follow.
The sourceHow much to trust it
The post is by u/Tarowari and its title is just «Radiance Reveal». The SC tag at the bottom of the card marks the Simplified Chinese print, the same route other Radiance cards have taken in recent weeks before turning out to be real: Stormbill (RAD 036/167 SC) and K’Sante, Dauntless, both of which Chinese channels showed ahead of the English print. The artist credit and the copyright line sit where they should, too.
Two real limits remain, and we will put them plainly: there is one source only, and the photo was taken off a screen, so a touch-up cannot be ruled out. Until Riot publishes it, this is an unconfirmed preview. The official calendar closes Radiance preview season on October 9: if the card is genuine, the English name should land within days.
Why it matters to us. Radiance arrives on October 23 and it is the set Italian decks will be built on for the rest of the year. A card that takes the Awaken Phase away from both players is not just another unit: it changes how you count turns, because the assumption that «next turn my units stand back up» stops being true. Anyone already sketching lists for the first post-release events should note it down — without building on it. Today it is a Chinese photo on Reddit, not an official card.
In short
- RAD 019/167, a Freljord unit: 6 Energy plus 1 Fury rune, 6 Might, seen only in the Chinese print and with no English name.
- It enters ready and makes other units enter ready, but in exchange it switches the Awaken Phase off for everyone: whatever exhausts stays exhausted.
- Single source, photo off a screen, no confirmation from Riot. Radiance previews close on October 9, the set lands on the 23rd.
