Start hereWhat a Summoner Skirmish is
A Summoner Skirmish is a tournament your local store runs: you sign up on site, play a few Swiss rounds and leave with promo cards you cannot pull from a booster. Prizes come on three levels:
| Tier | Who gets it |
|---|---|
| Participation | Everyone who plays, while supplies last |
| Top Cut | The best finishers: the card carries a «TOP 8» stamp |
| Champion | The winner: the same card stamped «CHAMPION», plus the playmat |
You can spot a promo from the bottom line of the card, where a P replaces the usual rarity mark. Art and rules text are the same as the regular card: what changes is the treatment, not the card.
November 9Skirmish 1: Graves and two Akalis
The participation prize is Graves, Blasting Through (RAD 085/167), a Champion Unit costing 5 energy plus 1 Power, with 4 Might. The text reads: when he attacks or defends, he deals damage equal to his Might to every enemy unit on that battlefield, and he deals no combat damage. In plain terms, he does not trade blows with the defender — he sprays the whole group instead. Art by Yeon Art Studio.

Top Cut and the win share the same card with two different stamps: Akali, Brash (RAD 015/167), 5 energy plus 1 Power, 5 Might, a Champion Unit out of Ionia. The first time she moves each turn she adds 1 Power; the second time she banishes the top card of your main deck and lets you play it until your next Ending Phase, costs still paid. Whoever lifts the trophy also takes the matching playmat, art by Luscinia Studio.

December 14Skirmish 2: Lulu joins in
We already knew the second Skirmish would hand out two copies of Ahri, Confident (RAD 038/167) for Top Cut and for the win: 4 energy plus 1 Power, 4 Might, carrying Disarm, the new Radiance keyword that shaves 1 Might off an enemy unit when you attack. While that enemy stays shrunk, Ahri grows by 1 herself.

The missing box was the participation one, and it is filled now: Lulu, Whimsical (RAD 110/167), a Bandle City Champion Unit, 3 energy and no Power to pay, 3 Might. When she moves she can set another friendly unit's base Might to 4 for the turn — enough to let a small creature survive a fight, or to cut a big one down to size when that suits you better. Art by Polar Engine Studio.
Might
A unit's combat value: how hard it hits and how much it takes. It is the number in the top right corner.
Power
The coloured resource you pay on top of energy. It is the pip under the cost, top left.

Why it matters to us. Skirmishes are store events, so they run in Italy too: no travel, no qualification, you just need your local shop to put one on the calendar. Anyone who wants the two Akalis has a little over a month to ask their store whether the November 9 event is happening. And since these promos never appear in boosters, they hold their value on the secondary market — worth playing for rather than buying later.
What's nextStill missing
Riot promised three updates to the official overview: September 25, today, and October 16. Left for the 16th are the full decklists of the Seraphine and Evelynn Showdown Decks and the Nexus Nights promo list, runes and chase card included. The Radiance calendar is unchanged in the meantime: previews until October 9, in-store Pre-Rifts from October 16 to 22, release on October 23.
In short
- Summoner Skirmish 1 from November 9: Graves, Blasting Through for players, Akali, Brash «TOP 8» and «CHAMPION» for the top finishers.
- Summoner Skirmish 2 from December 14: Lulu, Whimsical for players, Ahri, Confident «TOP 8» and «CHAMPION».
- In both cases the champion also takes the dedicated playmat.
- These are store tournaments: they run in Italy too, no qualification needed.
